The hotel and staff are great and our stay was good. The only negative was the actual condition of the building, it was a wee bit run down, however this didn't impact or affect our stay.

Enjoyed my stay, only for 1 night as was passing through for work reasons. Staff excellent and friendly, nice outdoor seating area, food excellent, fair prices at the bar, good parking, fast check in even though they had a coach load of guests arriving just before me. I spent two weeks in the highlands and this was the first hotel I stayed at for two nights in the Cairngorms. It was my favorite place I stayed the whole trip, such a warm authentic country feel with the nicest staff who make you feel right at home in the highlands. The breakfast was fabulous too, my favorite Scottish breakfast of the trip, with pretty views into their courtyard and quiet peaceful vibe.
