Away from city lights and saw the Northern lights

Check in was simple. Based on its location, we loved being far enough away from the city; but still close enough (about 25 mins.) to get groceries or do sightseeing. We didn't want to drive here after dark for fear of wildlife crossing this time of year. I enjoyed sitting on the patio the last night we were there and taking some beautiful pictures of the northern lights. Room was comfortable, shower took awhile to heat up; but it worked great. Continental breakfast was nice; and having use of the full kitchen (if we wanted) was great also.

Comfortable woodland retreat

It was cozy and comfortable. There was plenty of space to spread out. Common ateas were large and nicely appointed. Shared full refrigerator available for use. Bed was comfortable with luxurious sheets. Would be great for a family reunion or group retreat. Beautiful outdoor spaces. Would definitely stay here again.

The Northern Sky Lodge has basic lodging that met our needs during a loop driving tour of central AK. The room and property are clean. The common breakfast area and offerings were fine. Please put up a sign on or next to your mailbox on AK3, as we missed the turn when we arrived as the driveway is somewhat hidden when heading south.

Very friendly staff. Quiet location. Beautiful property. Cooking facilities were awesome! We liked the room-darkening curtains. WiFi was great. Nice library of books and travel books. Decor was very nice. Views of the woods and trails nearby were awesome.

The place is so private and tranquil. I love that kitchen is available and can cook your meals during the stay. The property is very beautiful and got to see the Aurora 3x during my stay.

This place is very unique. It is located about 30 minutes south of Faribanks on a beautiful property. It is self check-in, which went totally smooth. We weren't sure what to expect from the property, but we were blown away as soon as we walked in. The common area feels like someone's extremely cool living room, with comfy couches, books and games. There is a kitchen available for guests' use and a gorgeous view off of the dining area. Breakfast items are available for the morning. It is definitely not your cookie-cutter hotel, and has a nice Alaska vibe.
