Not your typical Japanese town, even in far northern Hokkaido. Windswept, unpretentious, down-to-earth. Fishing, farming, and government seem to be the mainstays of the economy after the summer visitors go home.

Great rooms Spacious Very Clean Generous Amenities. The onsen and the sauna were great features specially during winter. Location was great near good restaurants. .

Overnight stay to be closer to airport in the morning. It was around 10-15 min walk from the station not bad overall.
