Great stay. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The room is what you’d expect from a dorm room. The safe was a bit small but was present. The facilities were clean and convenient.
This property is very safe and clean. The staff is friendly and understanding. Kitchen are is big and kept clean, no odours or anything.
I stayed in a private room, for having my own space is always my priority. For me personally the space was too small, although I could move, but I prefer bigger spaces. Also because I am tall.
Many guests from different countries, yet sometimes not very friendly. Socializing is very debatable.
Rooms can be very humid during summer, and the fan is very weak, but the heater is very powerful.
Coin laundry - 4$ per each machine, 1$ per powder.
Very easy to use.
You can get everywhere easily on foot.
Internet is ok, but could be faster. Free internet offers only 1 GB per 24 hours. 2$ per unlimited data for 1 day, 10$ per unlimited data for 1 week. You get almost 1 TB of data, which is necessary for my personal needs.
Overall it is alright, if you will rather mind your own business.
Apart from saying was free parking included was fine but not true re parking which is by number plate & only free 5pm-8am & then first hour free & $2 per hour but a max of 3 hours so need to find somewhere else if want more than 3 hrs. Otherwise is central spot & good.
I liked the clranliness and not being overwhelmed by people...due to covid i guess. I didnt like music playing in hallways...npt everyone has the same tastes
Giy on front frsk made me feel teally welcome. Bread in kitchen was good too.
Quite clean and tidy, nice to see free bread for breakfast in the kitchen. Room was facing the road and quite noisy (not sure why, it was as if the buildings were amplifying the noises made by every car or person that walked past) so didn't sleep well.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Hostel staff were nice and (mostly) helpful. Internet is limited to 1 Gig per 24 hrs unless you pay them for unlimited (i want to say 2 NZD). You can’t see how much internet you have left (the interface it shows you when you log on is inaccurate) but it will stop if you use it all. The room I was in didn’t have lockers. Instead we were supposed to use the set in the hallway which felt less secure to me. Also, the bathrooms near my room almost inevitably had water on the floor (I think one of the fixtures was leaking). Overall still a pleasant stay.
Nice well equipped hostel. Comfortable beds. Pretty good soundproof, lived in single room. Central and good location near the bus. Missed free tea / coffee.
Staff is very friendly. Kitchens are huge, wished there would be a few more frying pans. Our room was basic, nothing special (double room with no bathroom) and clean. We had a good night there. Good location In Nelson, Intercity just around the corner.
Location was great! So close to restaurants, grocery stores and shops.
Room smelled like feet. I stayed in a 4 bed dorm.
The common area was huge and there were 2 kitchens which made socializing very fun
The reception staff at this YHA are really the nicest, most welcoming bunch you could hope for. All of them were so pleasant and so helpful that we told them so directly when it was time to check out. The hostel is clean and well equipped. We were early for checking in and they put our food needing refrigeration in their own fridge. Our double room was clean and well equipped including a TV. Furnishings are always sparse in hostels even in the private rooms but the value for money can't be beat. We also rented bikes for 3 hours. Bikes were in good condition. They were not concerned about charging us extra when we were out longer than planned. These things really make a difference to your feeling about a place.
Good hostel. Nice double room with bathroom just down the corridor. Excellent value for a 1 night stay

Disliked: Staff & service
Hotel well situated
Place with internet and wi-fi not reliable to use because it was off most of the time. When we asked about it the lady at the reception answered that her lap top was working fine and their was nothing she could do about it.
The hostel had good, reliable and free Wi-Fi. The bathrooms were clean and the kitchen was adequately stocked. The free artisan bread was also a nice gesture. I had a twin room that was small for 2 beds any I wished it was bigger.
