It’s a basic, budget hotel. But everything was clean, and the staff were great. There are several friendly cats (and a dog) that live on the property, and I enjoyed interacting with them.

Favourite hotel in Sri Lanka!

We had a really lovely stay here! Probably our favourite hotel in Sri Lanka. The staff is really nice, the pool is lovely and the hotel is in really good condition. Great value for your money and a must visit for animal lovers.

This is a small hotel very close to the beach, shops and restaurants which are only a 5min walk or tuk tuk away. Rooms and facilities are good with air conditioning. Lovely Sri Lankan breakfast starts the day and a pool to chill out. We stayed 1 night as it is close to the airport.

Really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Villa Kapuru! The staff are really friendly and helpful, they even did some washing for us during our quick stay! So many cats and dogs around the property which were happy and friendly. Very close walk to the beach and surrounding restaurants. Wi-Fi reception wasn’t the greatest and the aircon in our room was very noisy at times but didn’t really affect our stay too much and we would definitely recommend if staying in Negombo!

I stayed at Villa Kapuru twice, after my arrival to Sri Lanka and on my last day, since it’s close to the airport. A really nice and calm place, nice stuff, comfy room and pool. I’ve chosen the hotel cause of the rescued cats at the property, and wasn’t disappointed, they are really nice and well behaved and a pleasure to be around. Really close to the beach and Main Street with shops and restaurants.

Solo in Negombo 🇱🇰

I am just starting my Sri Lanka adventure and I cannot recommend enough Villa Kapuru. It is a small Villa run by SriLankan and Irish men who take in rescue dogs and cats so they can be treated with love and kindness. The Villa is a short walk to the beach and restaurants and has both a pool and air conditioning, very important in the Sri Lankan heat ☀️ It was quiet for sleeping, had a tasty breakfast and was exceptionally clean! Their partner restaurant is also highly recommended - I had the best chicken curry ever!

Well run guesthouse good position

Well run guesthouse with helpful staff. Lovely backwater aspect from our room. Watched monitors, kingfishers, loads of birds. Lots of cats, and 2 dogs- all well kept and no trouble. Nice pool to cool off. Good position one street away from shops, restaurants etc. Quiet spot.

Outstanding stay for the price point. Super clean and comfortable room, sufficient breakfast, and lovely animals to welcome you. Staff arranged airport pickup and a driver for our trip to Sigiriya. Thank you! Didn’t get a chance to use the pool but did lounge in the common areas, which was great as the breeze was coming across the canal. This place is quaint and absolutely lovely. Only negative thing is that some light bulbs were burnt out in the common areas and hallway, making it a little difficult to read! Still a 5 star review. Easy to walk to the beach and main road for shopping and eating.
