Rooms are stinky when you enter them first time. Also the cleaning done by house keeping is also not very good.

Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Amazing location but poor service
The location of hotel is stunning, its right above the crystal clear ganga. The hotel also looks amazing from outside - full of flowering plants etc and is nicely maintained, there is even a cute little artificially made waterfall.
The major issues are with service (specially at the restaurant), and cleanliness/quality of the room. For instance, we had to wait for 1 hour to get our order which was just tea and french fries. And when the order did come finally, both things were lukewarm and fries were soggy. Similarly, the room service and even checkout took so much time despite multiple calls. Furthermore, upon arrival the receptionist barely told us about the services available at the hotel. In fact we were planning to take a massage at their spa but experiencing their service, we decided not to. Coming to the room cleanliness, the toilets do not look modern or are maintained nicely and the hotel had barely taken any COVID precautions. For example, the day before we had stayed at another hotel and they had sanitizers almost every 100 metres and here i found just one sanitising station at the reception, none in the rooms or even at the restaurant!
Hotel location is excellent. Staff was nice and food was good. Overall an unforgettable experiece.
Except one thing. It appears that hotel dumps its sewage in Ganga. We noticed that on Sat evening when we went down to the river from hotel backside. This is totally unacceptable & ridiculous
Don't book and waste your preciously earned money.
Was the worst experience staying at this hotel. Hotel under renovation which is not mentioned. Resturant with very limited option of food. Far from city. Difficulty in searching the place.
Rooms have A/C but just for show as they actually don't work. In my 3 nights stay it didn't not work at all. Everytime you complain they will come and do time pass for 2 hours and say it will start cooling in hours time. Many insects in room. No cleanliness in hotel. Staff very rude. Over priced hotel. Room door locks don't work it's broken. Difficulty to open the doors.
No toilet paper . Bad food. Nasty manager. No wifi . A shame because located in a remote beautiful location

Liked: Cleanliness, room comfort
Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
Good hotel but very professional and not very understanding for the guests. Very high rates, if you go, please book the vehicle and plan the tours before reaching the hotel
I spent 2 nights - weekend to be precise at their property.
What you see on their website is an image of a plush property with a spectacular view of the river Ganges.
What you get is -
1. Average hospitality. The staff seems friendly but who's guiding them ? They didn't seem to have a professional manger/ general manger in command.
2. Dirty linen - unwashed and with a peculiar smell.
3. Average spa ( which is not reasonably priced for the standards maintained - no flowers as shown on the website. Basically very clinical.)
4. Lots and lots of monkeys!! - which basically made us sit indoors the whole time!
In reality, the pictures are a complete eyewash.
We were given room 201 - the log hut, neighboring their staff quarters!
So much for privacy!! Avoid that room please.
We were supposedly upgraded to 301, a cottage which seemed to be the same size as the log hut. But was quiet in comparison.
So, if you do have to choose between Raga and glasshouse, I would suggest you choose Glasshouse any day.
The property, the hospitality is not a patch in comparison to what you'll be offered at the Glasshouse on the Ganges ( which is on the Ganges unlike Raga, which is by the Ganges )
What saved the night was the butter chicken and the tandoori chicken!! The best I've ever had.
My suggestion would be you could stop for lunch or dinner and enjoy the food. Otherwise this property is avoidable, unless there is a change in management.
I will recommend this Property to all who are planing to Visit Rishikesh. I would say this is the best Property there and my rating is 4.5 out of 5.
Sanjay.
Hotel is far from Rishikesh but very peaceful and quiet place. All foods are included in hotel charge and foods were very tasty and enjoyed. Cottage is very small and not cleaned much. Also, facilities are very poor (no Yoga, spa and gym).
