Room 306 had several serious faults that made our stay extremely uncomfortable and disappointing.
• The bathroom light only worked if the key card was positioned in a very specific way even after numerous attempts by the staff and ourselves to finally get it to work.
• The main room light could not be switched off due to an electrical fault, leaving us no option but to cut the power from the fuse box in the room as advised by the front desk reception. Moving rooms was not an option as the hotel was fully booked.
• As a result, we were unable to use the air conditioning overnight once the power was off in the room to turn off main room light (which was very bright) making the room unbearably hot and leading to a very poor night’s sleep.
• To access the bathroom at night, I had to use my phone torch to reach the fuse box, which caused the main light to switch back on and disturb my son and husband.
• Being required to operate the fuse box ourselves was not only completely baffling but also potentially dangerous, and certainly not a solution I would expect in a 4-star hotel.
This is not the standard of service I expected, particularly as this stay was booked as a special treat for my son’s upcoming 16th birthday and we had travelled from the UK. Instead of being a comfortable and enjoyable experience, it was stressful and frustrating.
We will not be returning to this hotel ever again!
