The hotel was delightful. They have kept up the vibe of it's former glory as a Palace. The housekeeping were exceptional cleaning the room everyday and setting up the room in the evening by turning on AC. We always came back to a nice cool room after being out in the heat all day. The location is incredible on a pedestrain-only street with lovely shops and restaurants. Interestingly we took the undergound Naples tour in the Spanish Quarter and walked through tunnels underground. The exit was at the hotel, which was terrific. We learned additional historical significant information about it. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Shout-out Gino who was always pleasant and helpful at breakfast.

Everything about this antique hotel with all modern ammenities is exceptional, charming, and historical. Located near Teatro San Carlo in cultural center of this proud and timeless port city, this is a hotel I will soon return to for at least a week or longer, and I will bring my professional camera equipment. Thank you Hotel Chiaja for a remarkable and memorable sojourn. - Gustavo

Had an amazing time in Naples. Hotel is in a great location close to the metro and many wonderful restaurants and shopping areas. We had a ton of questions for the staff and they were very helpful, as well as amenable to a late checkout on request. Breakfast was okay, but the breakfast cappuccino made up for any disappointment. Room was a bit hot, probably the biggest downside.

Location is perfect to enjoy local food and drinks. Good shopping including souvenir shops. Staff were very helpful, we were heading home from a trip as a family member was ill. We were given a room very early which was greatly appreciated. Continental breakfast was very good. Bed was very comfortable. Highly recommend

This place is run down and needs a major upgrade. Our room had yellowed old wallpaper with scuffed up walls with drywall showing. The hotel was in a great location that had a balcony overlooking the street below. It was very noisy at night from street activity. Only two wall electrical outlets worked. Getting back into the hotel early evening was a challenge. The huge outside door was locked. No one answered the intercom system although two people were sitting at the desk when we finally got access in because someone was leaving through the door.

Property was mostly clean but the rooms were hot and worn. The mini refrigerator was leaking. The breakfast was just okay. The worst part was the entrance to the hotel was not marked and a little scary. It was hard to leave in the morning as the courtyard door was shut and had to figure out how to get out a small opening with luggage. We told the staff about the issues and they did not seem to care. We felt like this property was a fire hazard due to the age, electrical outlet problems, leaking fridge, etc. Did not sleep well due to this reason. The only thing that was good is that it was close to a lot of cute shops. However, I would not stay here again.
