Historical charm, but needs some updates

Amazing facilities. Not everyday you get to stay at a former palace residence, but some of the amenities could be updated. The beds were not very comfortable. However the staff and service was great. I could see that there were efforts being made to improve the property, so I look forward to seeing it again in the future.

Great location, nice building but run down and needs a refurb. Service was poor, 20 euros extra for a late check in (19:00) as they have no receptionist and must make someone travel there… + extra tax (even though I paid tax through here) without a receipt given…. Not great after handing over just shy of 50 euros…Room had a lot of damage, holes in wall and ((soap tray ripped off in bathroom…. ??) such a shame as it could be fantastic.

If you are looking for a high class hotel this may not be for you but if you are looking to stay in a typical Napoli building on a budget you will be happy. The room was large and clean, with a lovely view and en-suite shower room (toiletries included). It was serviced every day and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Be aware it is not staffed 24/7 as it’s a B&B. It’s on the fourth floor but has a small lift which 3 of us fitted in. We were happy with our stay here.

The location is great with walking distance to the historical city center and the main shopping area (via toledo). Just one metro stop from the main station, taxi took 10 minutes from the airport (at 5am). During our stay, there was no one at the reception and we ran out of toilet paper, this was a pity. Also, you can note that the rooms are already a bit worn out, but this is expected for that price. Overall, very good ratio of price vs. performance.

Well, you get what you pay for. Let’s start with the positives. The property is very conveniently located across from a Metro station and the Archeological Museum. It’s also within walking distance of Via Toledo and Piazza Dante. The staff are friendly enough although entirely absent between 6pm and 8am. Not sure what happens in the event of an emergency… The room was dated, the bed comfortable but noisy, and general standards of hygiene questionable. The washbasin seemed to be permanently blocked which upon the removal of the sink plug and close inspection came down to an enormous hair ball which I had to remove. Mould was also visible in the shower where water pressure was very weak. Toiletries were not provided. The whole place felt quite dusty. My nose was permanently blocked when in. Security could also be an issue. The doors are quite old and require an actual key to be turned twice when coming into the room and when you close the door. If you don’t lock yourself inside the room anyone can come in. That said, a kick to the door and anyone can come in too. In sum, it did the job but I won’t be staying again …

The room itself was very spacious and almost clean. The bedsheets were clean but the cover over the sheets was dirty. Unfortunately in the evening there was no one there to ask for another cover. They took the taxes for the kids, too. But kids under the age of 15 don’t have to pay this tax. So we payed 12€ too much. The person that was in charge in the morning, was not able to speak any language, no English, no Italian… So we tried to show him the problems with the cover and the bathroom. It was clean, but the shower itself was so dirty, there was mold all over. Everything was completely calcified. The shower needs a really good cleaning! The sink drain was blocked. But as I wrote before, the person seemed not to be interested and nothing happened. At least it was cheap and as we stayed only two days, so we managed. The area is great, you are near the Metro and the City is so near you can walk. If you need a parking, I recommend the PARCHEGGIO NUOVO FERRARIS, they were friendly and the price was only 24€/day. It is near the Garibaldi Metro Station. I hope that the deficiencies are remedied, then I would be very happy to come back again. It really could be a very great B&B!

This is a nice place and well located but I didn’t like the policy of paying 20 euros for arriving after 6pm. I travel quite a bit and have never seen this before and the fee is way too high for no reason. During my arrival in Naples while I was in the subway on my way to the hotel I was also getting text messages from the front desk saying that if I didn’t arrive soon they would have it as a “no-show” and I thought that was totally out of place too. So besides charging a ridiculous amount they sill feel the right to pressure the guest? Quite unfortunate because the place is nice and clean but this kind of policy is bad news.

Cozy With Some Side Glares

I personally think the stay was satisfactory only because we're a flexible couple who understands the struggle of the hospitality industry. Realistically? The shower and the toilet need to be fixed. ASAP. Additionally, they need to expand their wifi signal to be throughout the floor. It's not hard to install some access points or some nodes. It was clear that B&B's are not welcome in Naples. That made me uncomfortable a bit.

This is a low budget/hostel type of stay. We ended up leaving two hours after checkin because our experience was so poor. Check-in: Inconvenient, brought all our bags to 4th floor. Then squeezed them through narrow office door. Receptionist casually checks us in and says our room is in another building around the block. So we lug our bags back downstairs and around the block - where’s the communication about this prior to arrival? Room: stains on sheets, half finished bathroom and smells like sewer. Worn furniture Other: Even the 4 different keys for the 4 different doors were an issue, there’s no phone reception or any possible way to contact the management. Overall, I think if you go in with the lowest expectations and understand this is bottom of the barrel type conditions - you’ll love it!

La prossima volta hotel

Siamo stati spostati in una struttura diversa da quella concordata, in un palazzo più vecchio; la presa vicino al letto faceva contatto, ed era l’unica dove poter caricare il cellulare, per cui o leggevi o caricavi ; gli asciugamani in 4 giorni non sono mai stati cambiati; non c’era il telecomando della tv ; il guanciale troppo alto e duro è stato cambiato con uno identico; letto scomodo, non tanto il materasso ma la struttura portante; ci hanno permesso però l’ultimo giorno di lasciare il bagaglio nella struttura principale ed è stato comodo. Personale gentile ma non professionale.

Das Zimmer war ganz ok, WLan war im Zimmer schlecht wurden immer raus geschmissen. Das Bad muss dringend mal renoviert werden. Alle Armaturen komplett verkalkt. Es gab keine Handbrause in der Dusche nur einen festen großen Duschkopf. Der Klodeckel war nicht fest und hat sich immer bewegt.
