"Easily the best place I stayed in whilst in Japan. It’s a ryokan and yet it has full 5 star hotel features. I chose a room with a private outdoor Onsen bath and kaiseki dinner option. Room was huge (75sq/m) with a separate bedroom, living room and sitting area with a wood burner. I started the fire and sat there for hours in between my private lovely hot onsen. "Staff was incredibly hospitable. They saw us arriving by taxi and immediately came outside to greet us and help with luggage. Then were taken inside to some tea and a warm towel to warm up. Extremely communicative and make you feel very comfortable. "
