One of the best hotels in this strip of hotels in this area. Extremely friendly staff and clean room, sheets, shower. Don’t be turned away from it being a “backpacker” type of setting, it feels more like a hotel. We stayed during a layover and it was a perfect choice.

Budget holiday

The TOC at Wailoa beach is a great base from which to explore Fiji. Close to airport at Nadi and on the beach there’s nighttime entertainment at Smugglers cove next door and great breakfasts and a short domestic bus ride in to Nadi. Suva is a 4 hour taxi ride and all of the island and resort tours can be arranged from here. I was here two years ago and didn’t bother looking anywhere else to base my Fiji exploration

Very nice and helpful staff. Basic room, not not expect a lot from the room, but taking the price into consideration it was fine. For sure do the massage at the hotel, very reasonable price and very nice.

Rommet var skittent og ekkelt, lakenet var fult i flekka. Bestilte middag på hotellet, fikk med hår i maten. Bestilte taxi via hotellet til neste stopp på turen, fekk ikkje taxi engang men vart kjørt av en av dei, dei sa normalpris på den strekka var 250. Når vi kom fram på neste hotell fekk vi vite at det var dobbel pris av det vanlige, og betalte kun 120 tilbake. Forferdelig hotell.

Great location on Nadi beach, near other small hotels and the airport. There is a small grocery store within walking distance also and a great restaurant (Grace's Kitchen) with healthy, affordable food next door.

O hotel/hostel é bem simples, mas organizado. O check-in foi fácil e rápido e equipe atenciosa e receptiva. A região é estratégica para quem vai pegar os barcos para as ilhas menores ou para quem vem dessas ilhas e vai dormir para ir ao aeroporto. Wi-Fi grátis e relativamente boa. Recomendo e voltaria e esse hotel!

One night before the flight

The location is at Smugglers's cove where was a nice entertainment on Sunday night. It is a typical beach on the main island with a brown water, but there is a small pool. You could have a stroll along the beach.The staff was very nice. The single room with en-suite was tiny, there were plenty of lizards on the balcony in the evening on the floor and ceiling, so I was not gaming to stay there or open the door. Air conditioning was fine. The room had also a small fridge and tea/coffee facilities, which is convenient. It is OK to stay when you just landed and could not make connections to the islands or before the return flight.

Pathetic

Yes you get what you pay for, its hostel type accommodation, however we booked a room with ensuite. The power wasnt on so we couldnt charge our phones, the lights worked, the hot water didnt work so no hot shower. Basics not available. The kitchen area for purchase of food looked filthy and disgusting so we didnt buy anything there, fortunately next door food was available. woman at reception was watching a youtube video, very loudly, very rude not attentive staff to customers.

Excellent location; right on the beach and close to other hotel properties, a small supermarket is a short walk away for any needs. My room was cleaned daily, and the property is well maintained. The staff is very friendly and eager to make your stay enjoyable. Nicky is a delightful host and ensures you are well taken care of. The in-house restaurant serves up a variety of tasty dishes.

Great!!

Located is awesome. Liquor shop was just down the road. A small but good enough market was too. You can exchange the money at the opposite side of the road. And the staff was so lovely too. Kara, she was at the front desk, was so funny (lol) and kind as staff.

This was our 8th visit to the Tropic and we have never been let down! It’s minutes from the airport, located on a beautiful piece of the world. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the rooms although are basic are comfortable.

Free pick up from airport. Upgraded to ocean view suite which had its own balcony. Lots of other hostels/hotels on same area but not much else. Good as a base or stop over point. Good food and drinks from bar on site.

Good place to stay for a short stay

Nikki and Joe were really friendly, welcoming and helpful. The staff helped us take our luggage to our room. Room was clean. Shower was good but needs updating. They only provide a pick up from the airport and we had to get a taxi back (cost us 13 Fijian dollars which is not a lot). Good place to stay for a short stay.
