The location is in walking distance to the beach and you can see the ocean from the motel. The staff were very nice. The room needed to be mopped. The pool looked inviting, but it was too cold for us to get in. Overall, we were very pleased with our experience at Midtown Inn. The rooms are non-smoking, but picnic tables and chairs are provided outside which was really nice.

I have nothing much to say about the property itself, it’s as expected which is a pretty decent property. Definitely suggest staying if you want clean property, unpaid parking, good staff and a nice pool area.

We stayed at Midtown Inn and Cottages this past week and had a good overall experience. The biggest highlight was how responsive and accommodating the owners were. We arrived later than expected due to travel delays, after the office had closed, but they made things easy by leaving our key, parking pass, and clear instructions in a lockbox. We were able to settle everything the next morning, which we really appreciated after a long drive. Our original room had a bathroom leak, but they addressed it right away by moving us and upgrading us without any hassle. The second room was more comfortable and included a small kitchenette with dishes, a stove, microwave, coffee maker, and refrigerator. They also honored our request for a first-floor room, which was important for mobility reasons, even after the room change. The location is great, within walking distance to the beach, with plenty of parking. The pool looked clean, although we didn’t use it. There was some nighttime noise and thin walls, but that’s fairly typical for beach properties. Overall, we appreciated how quickly they handled issues and made sure we were comfortable. Their customer service really stood out.

Great: location - almost on the beach Good: free, secluded parking with tags. Staff is polite and helpful. Not so good: property is old and showing its age. Shortage of cleaning staff makes it dingy. It’s 4 floor hotel without elevator, and is leaking at all places including washroom.

A place can be old but be a good place to stay. Not this one . Room wasn’t clean. Appliances needed replacing. Staff was friendly. They( midtown) was painting the place while I was there. But I don’t know if they were going to address anything else. You get what you pay for in some cases.

The front desk staff was very friendly. The linens were clean but the rest of the room was not. I was hoping to be able to save some money by using the in room kitchen but it was honestly disgusting. Our room also had a lingering smell of cigarettes, it was bad enough that everything that came with us had to be washed when we got home because our stuff smelled like cigarettes.

The room smells like smoke. The TV didn’t work. The AC had mold on it and I think my daughter got bedbugs which I’m going to try to address with the hotel to get reimbursement for the room.

Location is perfect for access to the boardwalk and downtown area. Staff is so nice and helpful. Don’t let the old exterior fool you- room was nice inside and had everything we needed during our week long stay. Love this motel- will come again

I'm from San Diego CA and spent the weekend in S.C. and V.A. For the price this place is great. If you're used to staying at name brand hotels and you spend more time in the room than out exploring this might not work for you. Our room faced the beach but wasn't on the beach which was good because it was a little quieter. You could sit outside and see the sunrise/set or just open the curtains and see if from the bed in the room. We booked a double room with kitchenette. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was clean, there was a small kitchen, an eating area for 4 and a small mounted tv on the wall. The bedding was a little worn but it was clean and felt fresh. There was ample parking and a pool that looked clean but we didn't utilize it because we were short on time. We checked in around 5pm and front desk agent that checked us in was very polite and knowledgeable of the area and gave us some good suggestions on what to see since we were only staying for one night. The hotel is within walking distance of some of the main attractions like the Beach, SkyWheel and the boardwalk which were both fun and if you're old enough and don't have kids with you there was local bar called the Browery which was a chill place to end the night at and within walking distance. The area felt very safe, we walked back to the room around 2am with no issues. It's about a 10 minute drive to The Broadway/Promenade which was also a fun spot.

It was ok but no elevator and they want to charge you to put you on the lower floor. This should not be done to someone that is older or with disability. It is a sketchy area but I only was there a total of 5 hours took a shower with shower shoes as the shower was in rough shape. Bed was comfy and no creepy crawlys
