「This hotel was perfectly placed for our visit. We could easily walk to the metro, many eateries were close by, it was safe and easy to walk or ride from Liberty Square. This is a ubiquitous sight in the Georgian capital of Tbilisi. The statue is of Vakhtang Gorgasali, who according to lore, founded the city of Tbilisi after discovering the city’s hot springs. The church undergoing renovations is the Metekhi Church.
