Our stay at the Mandarin Oriental Muscat was exceptional — it’s a special hotel that perfectly combines understated luxury with genuine warmth. The rooms are stunning — beautifully designed, with the most comfortable beds and lovely products. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice, and the pool area was gorgeous — spacious cabanas (which are free to use!) and very attentive service, with staff always quick to bring water and towels. The gym was excellent too — high-spec machines, cold towels and water on hand, everything you could want. The spa area is nice with lovely changing rooms and a steam room but it could make even better use of the space with perhaps some wellness activities like yoga in future. We had access to the Club Lounge from our second night, which was a real highlight. Afternoon tea was a lovely way to unwind from the sun, and the cocktails between 5–7 were fabulous. The service here — and throughout the hotel — was truly standout. A particularly special touch was the way the team recognised my mum’s retirement — with a beautiful card, cake, and a lovely arrangement of dates and figs. It was such a thoughtful gesture, and the staff went out of their way to congratulate her on this milestone. We left with full hearts and wonderful memories — thank you to everyone at the Mandarin Oriental Muscat for such an unforgettable stay. We can’t wait to return.
