July 2015 Tannheimer Berge, Austria The highest part of Tannheimer Berge mountains with summits Gimpel (2.173 m), Koellenspitze (2.238 m), Schneid (2.009 m) and Gehrenspitze (2.163 m). Tannheimer Berge belong to Allgaeuer Alps and Northern Limestone Alps and are very popular for sports climbing. The plateau below is the Schneetalalm and Schneetalalpe is suitable for easy hiking eg. from Hahnenkamm.

"We stayed in the Jägerhaus. The room was spacious and an excellent view of the Alps and one of the castles. Excellent breakfast consisting of various options was plentiful and well maintained. The separate bar/restaurant provided wonderful cocktails and food. Service was extremely friendly with wonderful conversations. We did not experience the spa that was available. Great location for access to both castles. I strongly recommend"
