This is a lovely 4* accommodation at a price little under a standard 3* accommodation. It maintains the charm of the time when it was built whereas technologically fully up to date. It has a little piano bar.

Unique art deco hotel

One-of-a-kind unique art deco hotel which is great value for money. Check out the art and furniture in the lobby - every inch is original art deco style. Rooms could do with a little updating, but are comfortable and the current style is what gives the hotel it's charm.

Quiet charmer

Old-school hotel in all the best connotations. Quiet, attractive and the desk was most helpful. We liked Mulhouse very much, in large part due to this establishment.

Very Dissatisfied

Only positive things I can say is the air conditioning was good and the bed was comfortable. The bedside lamp was broken with exposed wires, no overhead light so limited to a lamp across the room. Breakfast was mediocre for the listed price of 13eur, but they actually charged 24eur making it awful value. Every few minutes there was a sound like a hammer drill rattling the walls, all through the night and day. Decor is decades old with faded wood and fraying carpet. Overall, very expensive for what it was.

I hated the bathroom. Bidet was so close to the toilet you could not sit on the toilet because your legs were too close to the bidet and there was a door stop in between the two that I stubbed my foot on. Just an awful set up. Would be better if they just removed the bidet and door stop. Would not recommend this hotel.

Our room was booked for 1 king bed but we were given 2 single beds. The solution was to push them together and put a sheet over them. When I asked for the room I had booked and paid for, I was eventually given another room with a king bed, which felt like a very special favour, but no mention that it was half the size. So we changed back, which was fine in the end. We were offered an adjoining room with our daughter's room. This, it turns out, doesn't exist. The young woman at check-in was rude and obviously disdainful of Expedia. Other staff were very warm though. There was no drinking water provided, probably an oversight. The fire alarm went off at around 6am. People came out of their rooms to see what was happening. The internal hallway doors were all closed. No communication or explanation though, which was weird. I went downstairs to the desk to find out and was told it was nothing, just a mistake. The room was actually nice and spacious but also looked tired and the bathroom needs repairs - water damage in the ceiling, the shower leaked water all over the floor etc. I don't think I would come back here again.

Dommage

Je viens souvent passer une nuit dans cet hôtel art déco plutôt joli et bien placé. J'ai été très déçue ce jour par la façon dont j'ai été traitée. Ce matin, alors que j'avais passé la nuit à l'hôtel, je devais échanger 2 heures au maximum avec une de mes collègues, nous nous sommes tout d'abord fait éjecter du bar car il y avait soit disant des travaux en cours... Que nous n'avons pas vus, mais nous pouvons comprendre. Et puis on nous a dit que nous ne pouvions pas nous installer dans l'un des nombreux fauteuils du grand hall car il fallait louer une chambre ou une salle pour travailler !!! Je précise que nous souhaitions consommer, nous n'aurions donc pas occupé les lieux gratuitement... De plus, je répète que j'avais passé la nuit à l'hôtel... Je regrette vraiment cette attitude, car j'aimais cet endroit.
