「Hotel was good. At good location, room conditions are fine. Breakfast is extremely expensive but limited choices of food. 」

「The hotel is renovated, large and very clean and neat. The staffs are friendly and energetic. There is an elevator in the hotel, and it is very helpful for me. It offers many kinds of food for breakfast and it is delicious. The location is near to most of sites and Christmas markets, only 10-15 minutes walk from the DB train station. I would like to make a suggestion that is to change the kettle, because it usually smells strange when the water is boiled, maybe it can't endure the heat anymore....

「I experienced unfriendly staff and unwelcoming staff at the Hotel zum Roten Bären. Harsh, curt and rude. Somewhat shocking for a hotel that prides itself on being the oldest hotel in the Region! The room itself was spacious and light by European standards but had no coffee machine, or mini fridge. Coffee would be available downstairs on weekends at 8 a.m. and 7 a.m. during the week. 「The place was cute. Very small room but you did get a small balcony. No AC and the hotel is on a main road so you did get traffic noise because your windows need to be open. Staff didn’t speak English and they were clearly frustrated I didn’t speak German. I have stayed at places where no one spoke English and they provided a piece of paper that had information about the hotel. This place made zero effort to accommodate international travelers. I would not stay here unless you speak FLUENT...
