If you are looking for a place to completely unplug and relax here's the place. The cabin I stayed in had no tv or radio, and that was exactly what I wanted and needed.

Beautiful setting! Unique property Rustic yet sophisticated. Food is outstanding Music on the porch on Sundays is wonderful

Everything about The Alleghany Inn was great. Clean, comfortable, great location, very nice staff. It may have some years on it, but they have kept it in great shape. I highly recommend it.

My wife and I were just looking to get away somewhere new. West Jefferson is a nice drive from Charlotte and the town is very welcoming with great restaurants. We spent time downtown W. Jefferson shopping/eating, then traveled to adjacent towns for a litte more sites. If you're traveling to West Jefferson, I definitely recommend staying at Buffalo Tavern. (And each room has a bathroom. Though it's not seen in the pictures.) We'll be back - planning to add W. Jefferson and Buffalo Tavern...

We only live about an hour away, but we wanted to stay near The Lincoln Theatre since we were attending the Macabre Monster Movies film festival. The hotel is literally steps from The Lincoln, and while Marion is a small town, there are some great dining options nearby. We had a late lunch at the Wooden Pickle just across the street (our favorite, we've been there numerous times), and dinner at Moon Dog Brick Oven right next door. We also had a nice breakfast on Sunday at the Downtown Pioneer...

Had a really good experience. Got there a little early and my room was ready so i was allowed to check in. Friendly staff at front desk recommended outstanding local dinner (Pizza Perfect) that offers delivery. Free breakfast had a lot of options and was very much appreciated.

It was self check in, so we didn't see any staff until the next morning. We were the only ones there and pretty much had the run of the place. Beautifully furnished. There was no one else there, but we still wound up on the third floor and had to drag our suitcases up.

Can’t wait to go back!

Its been updated and very. Lean

Our stay was most enjoyable. Accomodations were great. Coffee 24/7! Our hosts were friendly. The downtown location allowed us access to a grocery store, eateries, souvenirs, etc. We will return.

The four-bedroom house was well appointed; the kitchen is huge. Get the Honeymoon suite if you can it's immense! The c.1880s decorations in the B&B are impressive. The broad back deck is very large. Access was easy and convenient. Laundry on the first level. James' breakfasts are to die for, especially the hot biscuits and sausage gravy. James grew up here and knows all to be known. It's within a mile of downtown Damascus and across the street from a supermarket. Very convenient in all...

The beds were very comfortable and everything was very clean and nice. Great over night stay.

It was very clean and efficient

Wife said that there were a couple of hairs in the bathroom but overall clean. Blankets and sheets were clean. Upgraded tv's but the hotel is old. Good deal for the price. $10 cleaning fee for dogs.

Loved the new rooms!!!

Very nice. Seems re-modeling taken place. Cannot be beaten for the price.

The sheets and towels were clean and washed. Usually in inexpensive hotels they try to pass on sheets and towels to the next guest, which were used by the previous guest. In Rodeway Inn all sheets, pillows and towels were clean. There was some construction and renovation was going on for the betterment of the hotel. So parking was limited temporarily. Other than that it was an excellent experience for the price.
