「Nice room, good location, will be returning 」

「I had a terrible experience with my hotel booking yesterday. I made the reservation in the morning and informed the owner, John, that we would arrive late, after 9:00 PM. She told me there would be a £60 late check-in charge, which I agreed to. At 9:00 PM, she messaged me, and I explained that due to traffic and an accident, we would be delayed by about an hour. 「Clean room, very helpful attentive staff. The amenities were those expected of a b&b. Our only qualms about our stay was there was no offer of remuneration re: the boiler having broken down.」

「Lovely building and room with a brilliantly big bed and view out of the balcony. There were just a couple of points which made it less than perfect. The waterfall shower was great however the normal shower head did not work which was irritating as I wanted to keep my hair dry. It was also advertised with Expedia as having a continental breakfast included. This was not the case. We had 2 small bottles of orange juice and a couple of small packets of cereal (like you find in a variety pack)...

「When we arrived expecting to stay in an annex as per the image on Expedia, we were instead in a room in the main house. We took this up with the proprietor who agreed to cancel with no cost. We took this at face value and stayed elsewhere. On checking our bank account on 24 Sept we saw that we had been charged. We called the property but were told we need to take this up with Expedia. Very disappointed.」
