Let me preface by saying that the general manager was wonderful. She was responsive and empathetic to my concerns which I am not going to bring up because they were addressed properly. What I will write is about the property which Joanie has no control of. I booked through Expedia and they listed this property as a 4-star hotel; and I am going to rate this hotel as a 4-star hotel it was advertised. My experience here just fell completely flat compared to other 4-star hotels I have stayed at. This is really a 3-star hotel. The amount of money I paid was not worth it. Yes, I had a fantastic view of the skyline and it’s spacious and has laundry machines, but the rest was just average. The furnishings felt and looked like they got it at IKEA. Now there is nothing wrong with IKEA furnishings but if you claim to be a 4-star hotel, it should be better. Toiletries are cheap products. And I found the location a little bit too far from all the spots I wanted to see in Montreal. It’s far from any metro stations and sort of exhaustingly far for any leisurely sight-seeing walks. Really you’re paying for the view, the space, the laundry, and the full kitchen. But who needs those when you’re on vacation? Will I stay here the next time I visit Montreal? Currently, the answer is no.
