Suburban Studios is my preferred place to stay in Holiday City, Ohio. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The breakfast is very good. And when I left my phone in the room, they held it for me at the front desk.

The building is outdated and the roof leaks in multiple places, there was algae growing all along the edges of the pool, I used the restroom right after it was cleaned and even though there was blue cleaner in the toilet basin, there was urine on the seat when I lowered it, and only 2 out of 6 staff we encountered were friendly. On the upside, the pool was large, nice and warm, and there is a hot tub!

The rooms on the back side of the hotel do not have exterior windows so no natural light. If I had known that I would have asked for a room on the front of the building. The room was fine although missing some ammenities typically found in hotel rooms inculding a box of tissues and conditioner. Unfortunately there was NO hot water so forced to take a cold shower. I would have reported it at check out but there was no one at the desk. I will not stay here again.

I stayed here with family on trip and had a generally okay experience, though there were a few things worth noting. The building is currently undergoing renovation, and the noise from the hallways was fairly noticeable. Our toilet was running when we arrived, which wasn’t ideal. The location is convenient, especially being close to the interstate, and the check‑in staff member was genuinely friendly and welcoming. Breakfast, however, ended at 9 a.m., and the staff didn’t seem particularly friendly. Overall, this hotel works fine if you just need a quick place to crash for the night, but based on past stays, I’d recommend the Holiday Inn across the street for a more comfortable experience.
