I had a great stay at Montevideo Chic Boutique Hostel! The location was perfect—central and safe, making it easy to explore the city on foot. The room was a good size, comfortable and clean, which made for a relaxing stay. I really appreciated the practical amenities like the washer and clothes line—super handy for longer stays. The staff were all friendly and helpful, always ready with tips or a smile. Overall, a great value and a cozy place to stay in Montevideo. Highly recommen.

It was so smokey, which we didn't like. Has a nice little terrace. It's a little old and wreck place. Had to go one floor up to use the female bathrooms. We didn't like the lock of the room, it has a hole and can be easily peeked through.

Not the best

Not the best place but worked for a short stay of one night. It’s very noisy from the road outside, the neighborhood feels a bit dodgy during night time. No bathrooms on the rooms and only one female and male to share between all rooms.

O hostel tem aspecto charmoso, porém, está descuidado. Tive alguns problemas com minha acomodação, o pessoal tentou resolver, Mas acredito que não deveria por anúncio do quarto com aquela condição.

El hostal está ubicada en una zona terriblemente abandonada, habitan en la banqueta vagabundos y hay excremento por todas partes. No es recomendable para descansar pues abajo hay un “boliche” o zona de entretenimiento para “rockeros” que se quedan tocando música a TODO VOLUMEN hasta altas horas de la noche, sin mencionar que dentro del mismo hostal tocan samba a todo volumen y a todas horas. La habitación no tiene baño, además de que las sábanas son viejas y están llenas de pelo de gato o perro o vaya saber Dios que animal, las habitaciones te dan una alergia tremenda, se escucha en todos los cuartos personas toser aparte de que los cuartos están llenas de moscas. No hay guarda equipaje, no tienen desayuno, hay arañas en la ducha y atienden de una mala manera, sobre todo la chica. Quien me “prestó” un adaptador de corriente por unas horas y después de pedírmelo, no me volvió a dirigir siquiera un buenos días. El chico es buena onda. En resumen, mucho que mejorar.

Só tem aquecedor nos quartos e o nosso, estava com os criados mudo e a mesa sujos, passamos um papel com álcool para limpar. O banheiro é aberto e o chuveiro sai pouca agua, com isso vc sente muito frio. A cozinha estava bem limpa e as pessoas são agradáveis.

Prédio antigo e um pouco descuidado. Ficamos no apartamento da cobertura com sala e cozinha completa e banheiro privativo. Sem muito conforto ,sem elevador e a limpeza duvidosa .O enxoval era precário. Compramos travesseiros pois os do ap estavam manchados. Pontos positivos: A equipe muito simpática e solicita e a localização central muito boa.

Insegura, inadecuada y sin ningún tipo de condición, no aire acondicionado, nada de privacidad, debían de ser clausurado,( son personas agradables )tengo más de 15 años reparando hoteles, y sé de qué hablo, nada que ver con las foto de publicidad.

到着した時、頑丈な木製の扉が開かず、番号つきの呼び鈴をどうしたものかと、何回か押したところ、マダム登場。スペイン語オンリーなので、チェックインに時間がかかるかも。歴史ある建物をリノベした快適な部屋だけど、エアコンなし、扇風機あり。シャワーとトイレは共用で、まあ、合格点かな。キッチンは使えますが、電子レンジはさっぱり使えず。素泊まりならよし。翌日のツアー出発が8時と早くなり、連絡できず、タオルと鍵を置き手紙で戻しました。支払い済みだし、何もお金がかかることはないので、問題ないと思いました。マダムがどこにお住まいか、スペイン語できないので、わからずじまいなのが、少し残念。若者が長く滞在しているようでした。港から徒歩圏内なので、助かりました。部屋にテレビはありません。共有スペースに大画面TVがありましたが、見ずに終わりました。

Este lugar es un auténtico lujo en cuanto a su relación calidad precio. Habitaciones sencillas pero más que suficiente, cómodas y amplias. Zonas comunes perfectamente equipadas y una situación a escasos metros de todo lo que hay que visitar en la ciudad vieja. El personal super amable. Lógicamente no esperes lujos pero si un lugar agradable y más que adecuado para descansar.

Difícil de ubicar: No hay letrero que indique que es un hospedaje. | Cucarachas pequeñas en la cocina y vomito en el baño. | Personal desatento y descortés. | Desagradable ambiente sin privacidad. | Para acceder los baños hay que pasar por todo el espacio publico (inclusive la cocina) y en el casa del baño femenino hasta subir un piso. ||| Pésima actitud de los anfitriones: Te tratan como si fueses un intruso en su hogar en realidad parece que ellos habitan ahí o es su casa por eso se les hace incomodo tener clientes y a pesar que uno paga por ese servicio de alojamiento tienen una mala recepción y convivencia.

Location OK, but very basic & don't expect quiet

Room was right next to the common area/dininng room/reception, and the door did not block any noise at all. Reception is upstairs and someone has to walk down to open the door, so you need to wait a minute, but other than that service was good. Booked this without realizing the bathroom was shared, but that's my fault. Location was decent though for visiting museums and such in the center. No aircon (and no window, just a fan), but the temperature was fine while I was there

Budget hostel

No breakfast was offered. Wifi / internet connection was slow. The room had 2 single beds but these were not very comfortable. The air was very poor and only a fan available in the room for cooling. The hostel is on 2 floor with stairs and no elevator available. The shared bathroom, toilets are on another floor, not on the same floor as the rooms.

Beautiful hostel in Ciudad Vieja

The place is absolutely beautiful. The location is by very short walking distance to the ferry terminal, tge old city (Ciudad Vieja) and Centro. The atmosphere is more like a family of young people living together. Some residents seem to be staying there for long term. However, we, as a couple, booked a room with private bathroom and the bathroom was in fact shared. But for backpackers sleeping in a dormitory, those well-maintained shared facilities shouln’t be an issue.

Zeer groot en aangenaam herenhuis. De deuren en plafonds zijn echt wel bijzonder. Wel kleine keuken voor zo'n huis. Je moet echt wel je beurt afwachten tot je kan koken. Voor de rest qua infrastructuur geen opmerkingen. Communicatie met anderen was moeilijk daar ik geen Spaans en zij geen Engels praatten. Al bij al ben ik zeker niet ontevreden van m'n verblijf in dit huis.
