The neighborhood is in the process of being revitalized. It seemed to have abandoned buildings around Ciudad Vieja. Most of the developing areas were near the Mercado Puerto which is about 10minute from Circus Hotel. The location of the hotel was within walking distance of the Plaza Independencia. Sofía at the front desk was very helpful and friendly.. I opted for the private room accomodation. It was spacious and clean. The bed was two twin beds put together . Air conditioner worked very well. 24 hour coffee and tea available. Different tours and activities available at the front desk. I enjoyed my stay at the Circus Hotel.

Disliked: Cleanliness
It was obvious that my bathroom wasn't cleaned at all. There was still urine spots on the toilet and it selles like urinere in the whole room. Had to clean the toilet before I was able to use it. Not a good feeling. I told them the next morning and it was taken care of. The bedsheets were clean at least. Some staff was friendly some not so much. I don't understand the good reviews.
Ok for the price. I’ve stayed in two single rooms over two stays, and both have some sewage smell as there are no outside windows/air circulation. Some flies also in the bathroom.
I've never rated a dorm 5-star because all the dorms I've stayed before are basic, packed and somebody even unkempt. But this is so different. It's airy, the decor is modern and colorful, morevto artistic expression.
The room has less bunk beds making it spacious enough to move around. Even though there is no window in the room, the effect of a powerful but quiet air Cond made up for it. This the first time ever a firm provides the softest comforter and the bedsheets abdcpillow are super comfy.
We were given a card key to open the firm door. The only complain is that whenever I have to go out, I have to make sure I remember to retrieve my card and replace with someone's card who is inside the room. if not, the electricity will be cut.
I hope the hotel can stay this clean and upbeat forever. It's new, only open about a month ago. The wifi strength and coverage are excellent. I can't get it anywhere I went in the premises. And because of the well designed community room, I can do my work comfortably. It actually felt like a co working space.
My highest recommendation for anyone looking for a place to stay in Montevideo.

Ótimo. Recomendo.
