A hidden gem in the mountainous hills of Monteverede just outside the central town - about a 8 to 10 minute drive from Santa Elena proper! Perfect for families with kids who love farms and animals and the natural sounds of rural remote life. The rooms are gorgeous and spotless and roomy! The shower was fantastic! Fast hot water with amazing water pressure. Brand new build. The windows facing the east are thoughtfully tinted to ease the bright morning sun. Even though there is no AC unit in the room, the fan that came with the room helped keep us cool. At night it's breezy and cool and only at midday did it get a little stuffy. The staff is so kind and amazing and helpful. They helped secure us transportation from Monteverede to Playa Hermosa. Their restaurant on site was super tasty and the pancakes were such a highlight for the kids. The horses, donkeys, and sheep were so fun to pet. We walked to another restaurant down the road which was also great: Soda Canton 83 The Maze. They are building a pool as we speak! It looks like there is a lot of new construction happening near by which will make this Hotel even more sought after in the future! We will be back. Highly recommend.

What an awesome stay! Lovely family owed hotel/ farm. Everything is done with such care and really the people were so lovely. My kids loved this stay above all others in Costa Rica because they would roll out of bed and go to be with “their” animals. Two horses, a donkey (that is truly the sweetest boy who thinks he is a puppy), sheep, a cow, a peacock, chickens, etc. It’s out of the main city so you get the feeling of being in the country, while being close by the noise if you want it. The rooms are new and clean. With a big shower. There is no AC, but because the temperature drops at night so much, opening the windows cools everything down. Highly recommend.

If you are interested in a rustic experience in a beautiful, family owned quaint hotel on a private farm, this is the place to stay in MonteVerde. The Family runs the hotel and they were the nicest people ever. Very accommodating and very knowledgeable about the area in terms of activities as well as places to eat if you're interested in local cuisine, I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who visit MonteVerde for a true, local experience. My entire family had an incredible experience here.

Excellent panaromic sunset views, wonderful farm experience with horses, donkeys, sheeps, chickens. The rooms are new, spacious with modern amenities. This place is beautiful. We had the most outstanding sunsets just outside our window. It is isolated and you need a car. Staff are kind and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. Expect to be woken up by a burro with an attitude!

El alojamiento es excepcional. Lugar muy limpio y nuevo. Situado al lado de Santa Elena. Cerca de los parques más importantes de actividades de canopy. Personal atento y amable. Buen desayuno. Las comunicaciones son un poco complicadas. Las carreteras, o mejor dicho caminos, son muy malos y en toda la zona es imprescindible tener un coche 4x4.

This family run hotel business is in rural part of Costa Rica. We were very delighted to stay at this hotel as we prefer quite surrounding and away from the busy town area. We have been treated very well above the call of host hostility expected. The young Lady Manager Milena was very helpful and we were delighted to see speak to her and she accommodated our needs very well with professionalism and enthusiasm to please us. We would highly recommend this hotel to any one who love to stay in quiet and natural surroundings of Costa Rica.

Je ne conseille pas vraiment

1 nuit au calme et ça c'est chouette. Nous avions réservé la suite décrite sur hôtels.com avec 2 chambres, 2 salles de bain et 1 salon. Résultats, 1 salle de douche, 1 pièce à l'extérieur avec des WC et 1 lavabo, 1 tv mais rien pour s'asseoir. Grosse déception. Le petit déjeuner : très très light. Nous avons demandé d'être resservi mais ça a été "non". Le lit d'appoint était cassé et donc il a fallu prendre une 2ème chambre et faire chambre à part avec ma femme car les enfants ne pouvaient y être seuls.

Une nuit proche du parc Curi Cancha

Séjour d’une nuit. Bon accueil et petit déjeuner complet avec un personnel très gentil et attentif. Une vue très agréable sur le lac Arenal. Le logement nous a paru très simple. Impossible de se faire réchauffer un thé ou autre chose. la pièce à vivre est peu chaleureuse. c’est un meuble de cuisine avec évier sans plaque chauffante. Prévoyez de manger à l’extérieur.
