We loved Castello di Montegufoni. We felt like royalty in our large rooms. The grounds were absolutely beautiful. The bathroom was small but adequate. I plan to go again. This is a great place to stay as a base when visiting Tuscany.

We called this the queen’s bedroom.
This was the largest bedroom. The bed was very comfortable.
A sitting area that was part of the largest bedroom. We also had a room with two beds,a living room and a kitchen.

This was a stunning castle to stay in. The frescoed ceilings were gorgeous. Loved every minute that we were there. The staff were wonderful. The only thing i would recommend is to add a vending machine and maybe to offer pastries in thr morning.

Beautiful castle and views

Beautiful castle that would be so much more enjoyable with just a few changes. Windows need to be able to attach to shutters so will stay open and not blow closed with wind. Basic items such as toilet paper, seasonings for cooking, more comfortable twin mattress, ability to order basic meals at restaurant if wanted.

No Se les ocurra ir con muchas maletas, hay muchas escaleras y poca ayuda. Mal desayuno, mal servicio a los cuartos. Nadie Esta para ayudarte en nada. La cama Es muy dura. Es muy oscuro en las noches! Aburrido. Fuimos a una boda. Eso si quedo bonito!

Advertised as a stay in castle, given an apartment outside the castle at the car park! Last night of stay and the next morning No hot water! No cleaning for 7 days, no change of the sheets or towels. Tree cutting at 8am. Apartment smells like damp. Cleaners while cleaning other apartments talking loudly like they were arguing. The outside look it is amazing, beautiful scenery!

This is a great value for families. Stepping out in the morning to picture perfect Tuscany landscapes is delightful. We stayed in the Castello proper a few years ago and I admit I was disappointed to stay in one of the out buildings this time but it accommodated our family of five nicely. We arrived just in time for the on-site restaurant to add us for dinner the first night and it was a TREAT! We could get to the outskirts of Florence in 25-30 minutes and using this as a launch point for day trips to Cinque Terra and Tuscan farm activities to the South was precisely why we came here again. Driving back up into the hills was like coming home. Don't miss that last turn though! LOL

The front desk hostess, Valentina, helped with all our questions about the castle and Tuscany. The property is beautiful and you really feel like you are back in time.

Nice rooms, no AC which isn't much of an issue in the summer since it gets pretty cool at night, though we also had to deal with mosquitoes which were prolific in July. Great getting to stay in a castle overall.

This castle is in the rural area west of Florence and is a good base to see the area. I would not advise staying here for more than a few nights. The reception team are disorganised and lack a the training in making their guests feel welcome, maybe a few courses on hosting. The restaurant is good and food excellent. The views amazing. They need a few extras in the apartments to make things easier for guests if the are cooking. It’s a nice place that needs a little extra to make it great.

the no frills apartment we rented suited our needs well, we had the basics of what we needed to eat in, ample parking, lovely setting. bathroom updated and clean. The castle history was interesting and charming. The on site restaurant, I felt, was overpriced for the servings offered.

Castello - residence, vicino Firenze.

Ho soggiornato, di recente, in questo castello trasformato in un residence. Tenuto conto che non è un albergo, cosa che la proprietà spiega molto bene, e che quindi non ci sono una serie di servizi, ma ti viene data una brochure con indicati tutta una serie di servizi e informazioni utili, tutto sommato è stata una esperienza positiva. Castello immerso nella campagna fiorentina, relativamente vicino a Firenze, ma ideale per spostarsi in giornata verso Pisa, Empoli, Vinci, Pistoia ecc. Appartamento pulito, riscaldato con tutto il necessario per poter cucinare un piatto veloce. Struttura dotata di wi fi, piscina e di un ristorante di buona qualità, peccato che sia chiuso il martedì ed aperto, da quello che ho potuto apprendere, solo per il periodo che va da aprile ad ottobre. Personale gentile e disponibile. Indispensabile l'autovettura per muoversi.
