Staff and owner were very friendly. The hotel was centrally located and the accommodations were well maintained. The continental breakfast was very good and there was coffee, water, fruits available all the time. Excellent value for your money.

We had fabulous 3 night stay at Locanda Il Maestrale. The location towards the end of the main shopping street in old town Monterosso is excellent as it is quiet and convenient yet close to the shopping district and many excellent restaurants. It is also a short walk to the public beach and beach club in old town, the ferry dock and less than a 10 minute walk from the train station. The hosts were friendly and helpful and met us upon arrival for an easy check in and showing of the room and property. The daily breakfast included with the room was very good with fresh fruit, yogurt, pastries, cold meats, coffee, tea, juice and other items served in the outdoor covered terrace. Coffee, pastries, fruit and a cold water dispenser were available 24/7. If you are looking for a conveniently located bed and breakfast with friendly hosts, clean and quiet rooms and a healthy delicious breakfast Locanda Il Maestrale comes highly recommended.

Wonderful hotel in the heart of Monterosso! Easy walk from the train station. Fantastic breakfast every morning, nice patio to enjoy a drink or breakfast. Wonderful hosts, we felt very welcomed. Didn't spend a lot of time in the room as we did a lot of hiking while in Cinque Terre. Bed was super comfortable. Should we come back, we will definitely stay again!

Everything was perfect. Location was great and staff were wonderful. Definitely recommend it. Bedroom was above stairs in case anyone has disability would not work for them. Already thinking of when to go back.

My husband and I stayed for two nights. Great location, walkable to and from the train station(I would say the best town to stay in if you’re planning on doing all the Cinque Terre), great lounging area for breakfast and drinks, Very helps staff. The shower was small and the location of the faucet was in the center wall so it kept getting bumped into and would accidentally change the temperature. That being said the pressure was excellent. Over all our stay was very nice. I would recommend this hotel if I were asked.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The host and staff were most helpful and gave excellent dinner suggestions. Breakfast was fresh and delicious. The bed was very comfortable and the room spacious. The location couldn’t have been better.

This place was beautiful. We were in the Monterosso room, just off the main desk area & breakfast area. Room was beautifully done, comfortable & everything you needed. We enjoyed relaxing on the terrace (open for all guests & also the breakfast area). It overlooked part of the village. The hosts are very kind. Making us cappuccinos each morning. Breakfast bar is just what you need to start the day. Yogurt bowls, fruit, granola, chia seeds, local honey. Toast/hard boiled egg. Assortment of salami & cheeses. In fact, they made us a bowl of fruit the morning we had to leave super early - just so we would have something to start the day. About a 5-8 min walk to the beach. We loved the location. You can rent sunbeds & umbrella (all set up). Our hosts had 2 beach towels in the room for us to use. Go site see in a day to the other towns. We left at 9am & back @ 4pm, and didn’t feel rushed. We bought the Cinque Terre “day” train card. So we went back to the 1st town Riomaggiore, walked the tunnel to the marina, walked the village. Then walked the Via dell’Amore (walk cliff side along Mediterranean Sea). Takes about 20 min (Free with that day card, but you need to book a time slot for entry). Connecting you to the next town Manarola. Again, walked to the marina, the village. It was a vibe there. Had lunch over the cliff side at Nassun Dorma. Doesn’t get much better than a fresh charcuterie board, bruschetta & a drink. Then onto the next 2 towns. Loved our stay!

This property was wonderful to stay at! I had the king suite and it was very large and spacious. The breakfast in the morning was a highlight and the terrace is beautiful to sit on. Would definitely recommend and stay again!

Ideal base for touring the park and the cinque terra. Close to station and beach. Host couldn't have been more helpful. Room was beautiful, breakfast was fantastic, tasty fresh and plentiful. Happily come back again if we do this trip.
