The hotel is relatively old, the rooms are large, the furnishings are old, the ground and lounge chairs in the balcony and garden are not clean, especially some outdoor grounds have many fallen leaves that have not been swept. It makes walking inconvenient, especially not conducive to the elderly. In short, the sanitary conditions are poor and the breakfast is too simple. It is convenient to travel, and you can walk to downtown and Fisherman's Wharf in a few minutes.

Hot tub, fireplace in the room and Elevator were not working in the hotel. We were not even notified that these features are not working and no help was provided to move the luggage when there is no elevator. Only the nice thing was later our parking fees were removed since we complained about the above.

The location of Hotel Pacific is hard to beat. The proximity to Fisherman’s Wharf and Alvarado Street is fantastic, and it’s a half hour walk to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The architecture of the property is wonderful, with a Spanish flair, but there is some deferred maintenance. Our two bed suite was more updated, clean, lovely and large. We were on the top floor so we had a vaulted ceiling, and the gas fire place adds wonderful ambiance. The breakfast does not include any hot food, and is mainly bagels, muffins, yogurt, etc, but it’s not why we like staying there. This is our 3rd time staying at the property, and we would be happy to stay again.

Great location and room! Only problem we had was upon check in our elevator to our section of rooms was out of service and they didn’t notify us until after we went to use it (we had to go to the 3rd floor with my elderly grandma). We went back into the office and requested a different room but it was very inconvenient and there was a possibility they wouldn’t have a different room. Very unprofessional of the office staff.

It was nice nothing to complain about it! overall we spent only the night time at the hotel. The room was spacious and the fireplace was giving a nice ambiance to it. The breakfast was okay 😊 The staff was cordial.

This might have been the dirtiest hotel room I have ever stayed in. My daughter wanted to take a bath, and as I started the water, I noticed multiple hairs throughout the bath tub (long and short, different colors). The bath towel that was placed on the rack had a very noticeable food particle stuck to it. Tjere was also a large hair on the wall in the bathroom where the toilet is. There was a large hair tie on the floor, in open space (not under furniture or anything). All of this was indicative of poor cleanliness and sanitation practices, but it was late at night that we discovered these things and we were too exhausted to request a new room. For about $300 for the night (including $22 to park in their garage that has *extremely* tight parking spaces), I expected better maintenance. The room itself was fine and nice, but due to the lack of cleanliness, I would not recommend this hotel.

The room was pretty dusty, we found piled dust on things like the microwave and on top of the headboard. I was non stop sneezing the whole time so there must’ve been some more dust we missed. This hotel is also not equipped for rain at all. We were non stop stepping in deep puddles in the hallways and on the stairs. Everything got super slippery. The location was awesome and the balcony was definitely the highlight of the trip !

Nice to have balcony. Staff did good job with breakfast and cleaning, reception at check in. Issue was a broken elevator which made for a challenge with luggage and those with health challenges. Some initial issues with TV in Spanish but staff worked to resolve.

Absolutely loved this charming and quaint adobe style hotel on Pacific street. It feeks like you're staying in an apartment with its fireplace and balcony features. The bathroom had a stand-up shower and a separate tub to relax in. It is within walking distance of Old Fisherman's Wharf and other eateries as well. The staff is super helpful and accommodating. Look forward to staying here again whenever I'm in Monterey!
