Peter the manager has a great team, too many to mention by name, but they all made you very welcome and were all extremely friendly. The rooms were spacious and well equipped and the sense of privacy and peacefulness was prominent. Thank you all so much for making our holiday complete.

Fantastic place by the sea

Amazing place, lovely staff and fantastic views. We had an amazing time here, its only got a few rooms I think it’s 8. So the service felt really personal. On the last day I lost my voice, the staff were so nice they made me a Dawa to help smooth my throat which I really appreciated. I think it’s these little personal touches that make this a special place. I highly recommend it

The hotel is just as pictured - gorgeous views from everywhere on the property. The staff were lovely - friendly, always wanting to help, etc. The room was very comfortable and close to everything. As we were both somewhat unwell when we arrived, we would have liked a few more basic options on the dinner menu as our appetites were not there and it was difficult to find simple food that we felt we could handle. Otherwise a perfect stay!

We enjoyed our stay at this resort right from when arrived we were welcomed warmly by the manager and the staff who ensured we had everything in our villa. The resort was quiet and peaceful… a great place to unwind. The bar manager Abdallah was amazing. The GM and all the managers checked on us every day in case we needed anything especially having a two year old in our company. I would definitely consider visiting this resort again

We were greeting by Grace & check in easy & informative, cool drink too. Anina, Frank at reception superb helpful & kind. Harrison each morning & all the staff waited on us perfectly. Perfect couples’ getaway

We had a fantastic time at Waterlovers. From the excellent communication during the booking process to the stay itself, everyone was warm and accommodating. The resort is fairly small and had mostly couples or families with teenaged kiddos. An added benefit is that you ultimately get to know both the staff and the guests. It felt like an extended family reunion by the end. A huge shout out to Frank, Amina, Peter and the rest of the staff for making our stay comfortable and for teaching us Swahili and the local customs.

Best place on earth

Waterlovers is absolutely gorgeous. You feel like you have paradise all to yourself. The scenery is breathtaking. The food was spectacular. And the service was terrific. Waterlovers, as of now, is perhaps my favorite place on earth. The only suggestion I would make is to get a little more fresh air circulated in the rooms, and to make sure the face towel given to guests upon arrival smells fresh and clean.

This place is paradise - so glad we chose to stay

This place is sheer bliss! If you are thinking of booking just do it! We were lucky to have a full week here following a safari. There are 3 things that are very special about Waterlovers… 1. the location is stunning, right on the beach it feels like paradise: 2. the staff, they are so welcoming, attentive and friendly- we have to mention particularly Anthony and Siassi in the dining room, and Abdullah and Timo who kept the cocktails coming at the beach bar and were such great fun; 3. the attention to detail in the rooms and the decor, hand carved items everywhere and we were able to purchase the cute sugar bowl and bottle toppers to bring home. The rooms are beautiful- we stayed in Elephant cottage, it had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The food was very nice and, while there is plenty of choice on the menu for a few days, we did suggest maybe an additional ‘dish of the day’ would be a welcome addition. We had no issues with insects or cleanliness - our Housekeeper Helen looked after our room very well. We enjoyed the pool and the layout of the rooms among the palms and trees was idyllic. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it and hope we get to go back some day.

Incredible location and decor, cleanliness issues.

What a phenomenal location with the most stunning design and decor we'd seen on our whole trip. Friendly welcome, lovely service and we adored the unique touches in the room. The hotel does however have an issue with insects in a way that is much better managed at other resorts we stayed at. Of course in this area there will be insects present and numerous, but breakfast buffet was crawling with hundreds of ant and wasps within minutes of being laid out each day. Other hotels had solved for this issue well, with closed cabinets and other deterrents. Our room was also teeming with ants our whole stay, despite daily reassurances from housekeeping that they would resolve the problem. I'm not sure of the cause, but ants covered the towels, the bed sheets, the walls and the sinks - so perhaps some of the laundry products used. Staff were apologetic, but not very proactive in dealing with this. Some of our swimwear was also ruined by stains from leaning against the edge of the pool. Pool appeared to be being cleaned daily, but seemed to require a deep clean to remove green slime.

Property was spotless and our accommodation was charming. The staff was friendly, courteous and helpful. The property is on the beach, so access is a few steps from your room. The beach and ocean are amazing! There is a/c in the room but, because of the woven roof, does not cool the room. We asked for a fan which did the trick. Stay here for a calming and well appointed vacation. Just say ‘no’ if you do not want to engage with people on the beach selling items or offering sea life tours.

Such an amazing 4 nights at this charming beach boutique resort. If you need a beach break after your safari, I highly encourage you to stay here. Between the staff, service, beach, and charming atmosphere, you can’t get any better.

Waterlovers was the best part of our stay in Diani Beach. My wife and I had stayed elsewhere during our week in Diani, but were lucky to get a room at Waterlovers on our last night! They made our honeymoon trip so special —from the magnificent views, to the delightful food and drinks, and sense of joy and pride of Kenya throughout! We’ll never forget the magical honeymoon dinner service from Abdhalla and drinks from Albert. They both made us feel at home and taught us a lot about the local cuisine, culture and activities! We’ll definitely come back to visit them and Valentina (the GM), and her wonderful resort! Asante sana! Paris & Bella
