This hotel used fo be legendary. It is going through mayor renovations. We were given an unacceptable room at first and we were trying to leave but the manager made sure we were transferred to a much better one. We had a great time with the nicest staff, a great gym and classes every day.

I was checked into the garden side of the resort upon arrival, which honestly felt like an abandoned section of the property. The bathrooms were outdated and in very poor condition & covered in mold and felt extremely unhygienic. The bedsheets were dirty, with visible stains, bugs, and insect shells. AC was also not working. I asked to get moved to a different room. Staff attempted to move me to several diff rooms, but they were all in similar condition. I waited over 2hrs before being placed in a somewhat better room (bedding wise). I was told that management would relocate me the following morning once other guests checked out on the other side of the resort. The next day, i was moved to a beach-view room, but unfortunately,the bathroom conditions wasnt any better. It just had a newer sink. Room service came in while i was sleeping. Which shocked me, bc I’ve never had that happen to me. Like why? BTW, None of the elevators were working. If you’re traveling with children, elderly, someone with a disability, or heavy luggage, be prepared to use the stairs at all times. Overall, this was one of the worst experience I’ve had. When I asked about leaving that same night, I was informed there were no refunds. I ended up spending as little time in the room as possible each day. There was nothing luxurious about this resort, it felt empty and lifeless, almost like a ghost town, especially compared to the nearby beachfront hotels. I would not choose to stay here again.

This place could be so much more with some TLC. The location and beach front position are lovely. Great grounds and spacious rooms but everything here needs updating. Decorating. Rooms. Appliances. A spa that is open when it says it is. The food in the restaurants. Juice that is juice and not some water based cordial. Unfriendly staff. I wish for a large developer to come in and provide a huge makeover but as it is I could not recommend it to anyone.

The pictures shown in website is completely opposite of reality. Yes it’s water Front but the hotel is literally falling apart with mold everywhere. The hotel denote was dirty and cracked wood. Toilet not working, the bedsheet dirty. I don’t believe this hotel was maintained for the last 50yrs. It was completely nightmare. When you first come in, the staff make you sign a paper. - do not sign! We immediately checked out of there. We cannot bare to sleep in dungeon.

Room wasn’t has advertised, no fridge, no Minibar, no hair dryer, also said it sleeps 4 but only had a double bed. Constant power and water outages. Some maintenance issues. Resort is starting to look tired. This is just a quick off the top of my head list.

I have never been so disappointed at a hotel, I had to change like three rooms because the toilet flash was not working. They was an awful pipe smell of sewage in the toilet. customer service was appalling. The food was ridiculously expensive and was just trash. The Wi-Fi was a joke.

The advertised superior room was not for 4 people, this was disclosed on check in, despite giving a call to the hotel reception a day before to confirm the booking of 4 people, on arrival the receptionist James was not courteous and asked me to book another room. Upon showing all evidence on my booking using Xpedia app and reservation at the hotel. The room was not clean. We checked out the next day early morning. The hotel staff are not professional and couldn’t even sympathize with our situation

ROOM OK but could be better..shhets not veey clean. I aslo had to pay a higher price than the Hotels.com.price 214 USD but was charged 22 USD as theybused their own exchange rate. Staff nice. Extremly expensive breakfast 2500 KES /20 USD not included in the room It is not Luxury but very run down.Restaurang seems to very popr - so.many complaomt and expe aive so I never tried it but find very good places outside with normal with decent prices and high quality Beach very dirty with platic bottles and debris everywhere. Also sewage system from Mombasa goes straigh out in the sea so swimming there to avoided. However the 33 m swimming pool was nice and clean and the gym ok in partcular the gym master trainers hat gave training couses in the morning. But overall the hotel.is overrated and it seems like no investment is done to improve the pla e.

The staff were super courteous, helpful, and welcoming throughout our stay. With reported new management now in place, there is optimism for positive changes, especially as renovations are expected to improve the property in the near future. Should technical input be required in the future, I am a civil and structural engineer and would be willing to offer professional guidance if helpful!
