Stayed in superior bedroom for 3 people with private bathroom. Be aware that the private bathroom is separate from the bedroom, you have to access your private bathroom through main passage and then across communal sitting room. No privacy at all. The bathroom is dated and requires some repairs. There is no restaurant or bar, only for events and not accessible to B&B guests, the pool is not accessible during events. The access road is very rough. The property is dated but the rooms, bedding and towels are clean. The pool and gardens are lovely and well kept. The staff are friendly and helpful.

We chose the hotel as it was close to a wedding venue we were attending. The garden is well kept and very pretty. Alex was very helpful keeping us supplied with drink and sandwiches when needed. We have to give a shout out to guiseppe and his sister for picking us up from the train station and not only that guiseppe kindly gave us a lift to the next hotel.

Detalles importantes a tener en cuenta: lugar muy bonito, todo limpio, personal agradable y desayuno bueno. El horario de la piscina es sólo de 9.30 de la mañana a 2.30 del mediodía, y no me quedó claro si había que pagar un extra por su uso, ya que con ese horario, no la utilizamos. El camino de llegada se hace a través de 2 km de camino rural estrecho entre cultivos, pero sin complicaciones. Celebran eventos, con música hasta las 12 de la noche, y al ser un sitio pequeño, la música se recibe alta dentro de la habitación. El restaurante estaba cerrado, por lo que no puedo opinar. El horario de desayunos comienza a las 8.30 y creo que hasta las 10.00 de la mañana. Y un dato muy importante: los baños de las habitaciones están separados de las mismas, debiendo, en nuestro caso, pasar por la puerta de otras 2 habitaciones, y cruzar un salón, para llegar al servicio. Obviamente, nos cruzamos varias veces con los huéspedes, yendo en pijama, etc.

We didnt enjoy pool, it was cold. Breakfast was nice, but cold room. They have a beautiful patio but they didnt care to put the cushions so we could sit there. It just felt a litle cold vibe. its a beautiful property and a nice welcome limonade but have been nice.

We booked Dal Canonico through Expedia we were going to a wedding at nearby Tenuta Pinto. The good : the pool, walking distance to Tenuta Pinto (warning - dusty track!), the gardens - fig trees, limes, olives and lots of places to sit, the yummy pastries at breakfast and the super, super helpful Alex -we were sorry we didn't get to say goodbye to him. Good to know: The rooms that have an ensuite (and cost more/ deluxe) are not in the main house but are in a meters-away barrel vault building that has no real windows and so you feel you are underground, which was a bit offputting. The rooms without ensuites are in the main house, and are characterful and have proper windows - so if you don't mind a short walk to the bathroom, these are by far the better rooms in my opinion. Not so good: it was was impossible to communicate with Dal Canonico in advance - even Expedia couldn't help. This was frustrating as we had booked months ahead and when we all finally heard from the hotel two days or so before we flew which it was too late - with one couple forced to pay for a night they weren't event going to be staying. Also, on the first night we had limited sleep due to a faulty hotel alarm going off intermittently but very loudly throughout the night. Alex apologised to us on behalf of the hotel which we appreciated but it would have been a nice touch to be offered a tiny gesture (free 2 euro swim cap perhaps?!) to make up for the lack of sleep in advance of the wedding!!

Every once in awhile you come across a place that just resonates with you and that memory stays etched in your mind as someplace special. This was that place for me! The older farmhouse and grounds (called a Masseria in Puglia) were beautiful with stunning gardens, a turtle pond and pool and many areas for outdoor seating with views of olive groves, grapes and flowers. We were welcomed by Alex who was so friendly and was available throughout our four-night stay to answer questions or chat. The property operates as an event space and is known for its gourmet events. Our room in a building adjacent to the farmhouse was spacious and well appointed with a fridge and table with two chairs. There was a separate sink area from the bathroom which was allowed for one person to use while the other showered. In the morning a table was set for us in the dining room with a nice breakfast selection of pastries, yoghurt, fruits, meat and cheese. The location is central to the town of Rutguliano and a good base for visiting Puglia. From here we travelled to Conversano, Alberobello, Ostuni, Otranto and Gallipoli with ease. But we genuinely looked forward to returning to the farmhouse for a glass of wine in the spectacular garden.

Dit is een ideale plaats wanneer je rust zoekt in een authentieke omgeving, tussen de wijnranken en toch maar enkele km van de zee. Ideaal als uitvalsbasis naar Bari, Alberobello, Polignano a mare,… Indien we nog eens naar Puglia reizen zal deze locatie onze voorkeur hebben. Perfecte balans prijs kwaliteit comfort.

B & B, não propriamente um hotel. Muito distante da cidade, só conseguimos jantar a 10km do B & B. Café-da-manhã simples. Nosdo quarto tinha o banheiro separado, ao lado de uma sala, mas ambos bem espaçosos.

Quant stay in Bari

This place is very remote. Dark to get to at night. Check went as promised except our Canadian credit card wouldn’t work in their payment machine. So ended up paying cash. Property is very cute. I heated pool. We passed on breakfast so can’t comment on that. Room was very clean. Safe. Must have a car. 20 minutes drive to Bari. Peaceful and quiet.

A wonderful visit

Our family stayed for 4 nights in the hotel. I had booked A Junoiorsuite which I thought could take 3 adults but it was for 2 adults and a small child.The staff at the hotel though was fantastic and the three last nights we were upgraded to their weddong suite (room 110) which was absolutely wonderful. Very comfortable extra large double bed.Our son had hus own room and there were two bathrooms.The cleaning was impeccable.The pool area is very spacoius and it feels very private. The spa you can book for 2 h per day and it is very luxury to have it on your own.We also used the gym which has all the basic training equipment you need. The breakfastbuffet is really good and you have many healty options. The restaurant we visited one night and the setting out in the garden is beautiful. Maybe the menu could have been a little bit more extensive. The staff in reception were very helpful and gave good tips of what to see in the near vicinity.Breakfast-and poolstaff were also very friendly and greeted you with welcomong smiles. The location of the hotel offers both tranquility and closeness to beaches and interesting places to visit.We will definitely stay here again if we go to Puglia

Alex e il resto del personale sono stati fantastici, sempre disponibili e simpatici. La piscina è stata molto utile soprattutto perché abbiamo avuto giorni in cui il mare non era bellissimo. Posizione comoda per la costa, 10 min in auto e sei al mare. Molto silenziosa e parcheggio molto comodo.

Op zich een fijne accomodatie gezien de centrale ligging in Puglia. Wel met een aantal belangrijke kanttekeningen; 1. Onze kamer lag aan voorzijde accomodatie daardoor tot laat in avond en vroeg in ochtend luidruchtig. 2. Zwembad kent te beperkte openingstijd tot 17.00 uur. Daarnaast veel externe betalende bezoekers die voorrang krijgen op plek ten opzichte van B&B gasten. 3. Ontbijt is inclusief en goed maar wel eenzijdig. Dit kennen we echter van Italië dus niet onoverkomelijk maar bij langer verblijf wel iets om rekening mee te houden. 4. Ligging wat achteraf in agrarisch gebied en bereikbaar via slecht onderhouden paden/wegen.
