We loved our stay. We are backpacking the east coast, spending the occasional night in our tent and and we hope that all our campsites will be like Dunk Island! It’s a perfect place to spend a quiet few days or longer. Immaculately clean, great camp kitchen, and the cafe was a lifesaver when Woolworths was closed on Sunday and we had no food! Loved it.

I stayed in the single en-suite and the unit was perfect!! It has everything you need (kettle, dishes, Nescafé and tea as well as shower/bath amenities). The unit and everything in it was extremely clean and fresh, almost like everything was brand new. There is a small store and cafe at reception which is super convenient. The pool and communal kitchen were also in top condition. Staff was friendly and helpful and checkin and out was a breeze.

I didn't like the entrance with open air above the doorway, old plumbing pipes cut off and pocking out of the floor straight in front of U as U enter, no screens above that doorway, nor entering into a paint pealing floor, no screens on the bathroom, nor toilet area. That is what U C as U open the front door. It was the first place I have seen that is in such awful condition. I reported all this to the management. They gave me one days refund , even though they had said they would refund the days I didn't stay. I had booked at another caravan park in Mission Beach for 2 nights, but when it came to giving me two nights refund , they would only give me one.They didn't honour what they said they would do . So I had to cancel that night, by having to drive in the rain to personally cancel that night. And stay another night. The morning that I left I woke to something tickling my right cheek on my face, I brushed it off , then it was tickling my right hand. I was stil half asleep. I saw a large Cockroach then run under the bed. That is what had been tickling my face and hand!!!!!!!!! Bloody awful way to wake up. So NO I will not b recommending them EVER. I feel disgusted with this place, and that they charge $106 per night for such crap.

Lovely property. We stayed in a 1 bedroom unit. It had everything we needed. Staff were friendly. Upon check in the manager said she would knock $60 off the price as the price on Expedia was wrong. The original price was reasonable but with a extra $60 off it, it was excellent. We have a boat and my hubby likes to go fishing over to dunk island. Will definitely stay again.

Very friendly staff. The 1 person pod I stayed in contained everything you would need. It is virtually a 1 minute walk to the beach. Or is the pool area which is a decent size.

Great caravan park that has cabins to rent as well at reception, not only do they have a little store, but a small cafe as well to grab some food. Clean, safe and friendly people, the only thing that was a bit of a nightmare was my Vodafone cell serivce wasnt working. Best to have Telstra in this area. Other than that the only bad thing is the WIFi. Hardly could get a signal, even at the reception area and when I did it was so slow, not even worth trying to make it work for you. ;(

Great place to stop at in Mission Beach

Very comfortable stay despite a bit unusual bathroom setup (kind of outside the main apartment but still private. The unit was spacious, very clean and with a separate living area. Fantastic location! And truly wonderful staff.

It rained the two days I was in mission beach, and I arrived on sunday to discover everything shut (including the supermarket) so it was difficult to find food. The caravan park has a decent cafe though.

Quiet but just too isolating...

A lovely quiet spot of Mission Beach. Amenities were dated but clean and functional which is all I wanted really. New appliances and split air cons in rooms added to the ease of my stay. In contrast, no mobile phone service and sporadic to non-existent internet connection spoiled my attempt to de-stress.Graham the manager was very hospitable, helpful, and apologetic about my inability to connect to outside world beyond Mission Beach. Hopefully, this situation will be remedied soon as visitors may be tempted to find alternative accommodation.

mission beach area.

Stayed in the units and they are spacious and comfortable. The staff were extremely helpful and went out of their way to help me. Across the road from the beach...some nice restaurants within 50mts walk. Two playgrounds and a pool for kids.
