Hi Carl Thank you for taking the time to review Exmoor House. We are so sorry that we didn’t meet your expectations- 8 out of 10 is the lowest score we have been given on any platform and we don’t that lightly. The only negative comment you made was that the mattress was too soft and we can say that we buy medium firm mattresses in an attempt to meet most guests’ preferences. Being gluten free, we hope that we offered a great choice for breakfast as we try to offer the same variety whatever the dietary requirements. Thank you for the lovely review. Yes, the road outside can be a little noisy in the mornings but usually only for around an hour. However, if you return, try our Wordsworth room which is at the rear of the house and, therefore, quiet. We do what we do because we want our guests to have an exceptional stay therefore tips are really not expected. But it is always nice when we exceed expectation.
