Fitzroy Island Resort
8/10 Good
"It's a beautiful and fun island to explore. I felt it was more of a 3 star resort though, and would be better marketed as such. Our room was the cheapest option, though a little unclean and the air con didn't work during our stay, despite multiple mechanics visiting, but it wasn't hot enough to require moving rooms. However the location is unbeatable and I thoroughly enjoyed our snorkelling trips and afternoon drinks at Foxy's, where we ended up having all meals as they were delicious, affordable, and served very quickly. I loved that I could walk around the island, including a 2hr round trip hike to the Summit. All good fun and well worth staying 2 nights for. I think ultimately if you splash out on a better room by the beach, you will not regret it."

"Great"
Trinity Collective
10/10 Excellent
"Really well designed, very clean, everything was easy, check-in, parking, location, just really well set up. We loved the amenities too, for people on the road for a while, a washing machine and dryer is incredibly handy, good TV and very comfy bed"
Shangri-La The Marina, Cairns
8/10 Good
"We loved the central position to everything in Cairns, plus a beautiful view. Rooms very clean and fresh. Thought the hotel was dated and the swimming pool and surrounds need updating. More lifts are needed in hotel, such a very long walk to our room from lifts. But as said, the best position in Cairns."
Blue Lagoon Resort
8/10 Good
"We stayed for two nights in August, we were there for a Great Barrier Reef tour, so didn’t spend much time in the hotel itself or using the amenities. We got an uber from the airport, there were taxis and Ubers available quite readily. Staff were beyond helpful and friendly on arrival, a real credit to the hotel. We arrive at around 10am and the room was ready and they gave us the key, they said they upgraded us, but I couldn’t tell what the difference was? The room size maybe? We were ground floor by the pool, and people could see in the doors from their loungers. You can also hire ‘beach towels’ ($5) but I would argue the size of them was questionable for that! The room was very clean and large but felt dated. It suited what we needed it for however, but if we were there longer I think that we would have been disappointed. Very close to the beach, a selection of restaurants and a corner shop for essentials, the staff told us how to get to the shops via bus, so we got some supplies. There is a tv in the room, plus some kitchen equipment which was helpful, we only used the fridge however. I did have to move the temperature of that to cold when we arrived, as someone had it running on its highest, which was close to warm, so check that when you arrive. Would we stay again - yes, it was value for money, but only if it were for a couple of days. The hotel is well located, the beach is beautiful and the grounds seemed well maintained."
Vue Apartments Trinity Beach
10/10 Excellent
"This unit was everything that you would expect - very comfortable, spacious and had everything we needed - just as we expected from such an expensive unit. The only thing that wasn’t great was the poor access to the beach front."
Cairns Harbourside Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Nice views good location"
Coral Sands Resort
8/10 Good
"The complex is in a great location with easy access to the beach and local restaurants. Good access to highway for exploring the wider region. Ideal for families. Apartment was nice, spacious with modern appliances, comfortable lounge area and balcony, bathrooms were a little tired but had been recently decorated. Complex is well maintained with nice garden areas and pool, secure underground parking with easy access was good"
Sea Change Beachfront Apartments
10/10 Excellent
"This location is always sold out for a reason. It is so welcoming and worth every penny. We absolutely love it here. And have stayed many times."
