While the hotel had some updates, the overall experience left much to be desired. The room had been renovated, but the work was done poorly. The bathtub appeared to have been painted, but there were visible residues left behind. Paint drips were noticeable on the new laminate flooring, and the craftsmanship throughout the bathroom was sloppy. The grout was missing in chunks, paint was smeared on metal trim pieces, and the bathtub installation was especially rough. The toilet was difficult to flush, which added to the frustration.
The air-conditioning did work well, but the room felt constantly moist and had a strong, musty odor—almost like urine. It made the stay uncomfortable despite the updated surfaces.
Another concern was the elevator, which didn’t seem to function properly. The next day it was under repair, confirming my suspicion that something was wrong. It was unsettling to know that it could have been unsafe.
On a positive note, the staff were very friendly and helpful, and I want to be clear that they were not the issue. Unfortunately, the condition of the room and the overall musty, outdated feel of the hotel made it hard to justify the cost. In my opinion, the value simply wasn't there.
