「The Horse Cave Motel was a pleasant surprise. A standard older style motel in a small town that felt alot like home. I grew up in a small town, so it was fun to revisit an older style, well maintained motel. The owners were very friendly, helpful and visibly worked very hard daily to clean and maintain the property. Very helpful and definitely a family affair! 「I pulled up to the facility and it was a horrible sight. Run down, dark and tattered, horrible. Office was closed after I had recently confirmed our check in arrival. Then a scary man came next to my car on his bike and stared at my kids and I until we pulled off and went to find immediate alternatives for our trip. 」

「We arrived too late at night to go snywhere else. The buildings are falling apart, with old broken furniture outside the rooms. Our room had dried blood in the bathroom and on one of the beds. The door kmob was broken so we pushed a chair against it. Someone came knocking on our door looking for someone else. Its more of place that people rent a room monthly than nightly」
