Property is about the best location possible. Rooms are severely outdated and AC didn’t work well, Mérida is very hot. I left the hotel and gave them 4 nights back and got no refund, so they happily sold the room again… you’re welcome.
TL;DR: For the price, it's ok.
The good: price (USD 40/night in the off season) (September); the hotel itself is pretty, and the pool is a nice setting to relax in the evening; the location is lovely, right on a little plaza; the restaurant is decent for breakfast; my room was clean and tidy; the A/C worked; there was hot water in the shower.
The not-so-good: the room was austere to the point of depressing. No bedside lamps or mini fridge (which would be nice to keep drinks or snacks cold). Only one light switch for all the lighting, which isn't much. Thin bedding. No idea how to work the ancient safe in the closet. All the employees seemed a bit listless, not too eager to help or go above and beyond. I felt it was better a few years ago when I visited - think I'll try my luck elsewhere next time I'm back in Mérida.
Thew room I had was a simple one on the 2nd floor, basic but well kept and this hotel is all about the location and the lovely courtyard. The pool although small affords a refreshing dip on a warm day and some beautiful sunset skies late in the afternoon. This is a very sweet stay and walking distance to so many great restaurants and boutiques.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
The hotel location is within walking distance of all you need. The staff were happy and helpful.
We loved our spacious clean room.
The only thing that I can complain about the facility is the receptionist; they were not helpful and they seem to be bothered everytime I asked something. The location was excellent and with easy access to ammenities; despite the shortcoming with the staff, I will ignore that and definitely stay there again.
Liked this hotel, it had an elevator yeah! And is close to all the museums, parks, restaurants, and so many shops. The only drawback is that we had to park the car 2 blocks away in a designated parking lot for hotel.

Old, run down, needs huge renovations but centrally located and convenient.
The room was clean and staff was always very attentive and friendly. The chef in the restaurant was amazing. I am a vegetarian and he made me special food just for me. The building it's very nice with history. I will recommend this lovely place.
I love this historic hotel that was I think originally a monastery. The rooms surround a garden It’s in a great location , Hidalgo park and there’s a Starbucks next door. There’s a small pool on the top level that overlooks a cathedral! They serve a lovely breakfast in the mornings to get your day of cenote swimming or visiting of Great Mayan Ruins. For the cost you can’t go wrong.
Don’t forget to go to Amaro for wonderful live music and diner. Right around the corner!
Let’s pot it this way,
Everything was great.
Location is fantastic, the rest. food was good and reasonably priced, nice atrium atmosphere tho a little fridge in the room would have been good as it gets hot in that area!
I have stayed here before and was very pleasantly surprised at all the improvements and upgrades that have happened since my last visit. Very clean very pleasant and in much better condition than previous visits, they have done a great job upgrading.
