I chose the Hilton Garden Inn after carefully reviewing options for my family of five, expecting a comfortable and clean stay. Unfortunately, our experience was far from that. Upon arrival, we immediately had to request a room change because the walls were visibly dirty and unclean. Even the second room wasn’t much better — the white walls made the lack of cleanliness even more noticeable.
The biggest disappointment was the pool area, which felt like complete false advertising. The photos showed a relaxing infinity-style pool, but in reality, it was tiny and more like a rooftop bird bath — literally. The pool water was clearly unsanitary, with bird droppings all around, making it unusable for us and a total waste of an amenity.
The bar area was also a letdown, offering only liquor with no juice, wine, or other spirits. Even worse, the glasses didn’t look clean, so I couldn’t enjoy a drink there either.
With five of us and limited hotel options nearby, moving wasn’t easy, so we endured two nights. On the positive side, the location is convenient — with TGI Fridays, Walmart, Starbucks, and a diner all nearby. Security also felt decent, as room keys only granted access to certain areas.
Other than that, I would not return to this hotel and wouldn’t recommend it to families looking for a clean and comfortable stay.
