No existe personal de servicio en las instalaciones por lo que hay que estar cazando a la gente de mantenimiento para solicitar algo tan sencillo como papel de baño o una toalla. Dos días no hubo agua caliente en las regaderas. El hostal está bien ubicado.

Room very basic but clean. Used the shared showers which were spotless clean. Staff wad friendly. Location good. Towels should be included in the private rooms (seems weird to have to pay upon arrival extra for towels; not usually the case when you book a private room).

Solid Stay Near Downtown

I stayed in total seven nights at El Tigre de Santiago. It is located in a quiet neighborhood, but a quick jaunt away from downtown and really close to the Santiago market which is good for breakfast or lunch. The rooms were tidy and comfortable, the layout of the hostel easy and conducive to making friends if desired. They also have purified water to help stay hydrated. The staff were helpful as well, and very accommodating.

A lovely little hostel!

Great double room with private bathroom. The kitchen was fully stocked and the staff were all very helpful. The rooftop was great for coffee in the morning and watching the sun rise. It is a quiet-ish hostel, not a party hostel. The only negative is that the rooms are all next to the common areas and although the hotel clearly states 11.30pm - 7am must be quiet time, one group one evening did decide to ignore this rule till the early hours so one of our nights was disturbed… Location is about 14 mins walk from centre.

Comfortable stay

Big, clean room and everything was ggreat. The only thing that kept it from being perfect was the wifi cut out sometimes, but I only had to reconnect on one of their many available networks.

I loved my stay! The staff were friendly and super helpful! I met some incredible guests during my stay who I ended up exploring the area with during my stay. Gotta love hostels for that!

Comfy and pleasant stay

The girls who work there are so friendly and helpful and I really enjoyed talking with them! The hostel has good staff and energy and it was very pleasant. :)

friendly staff and good energy

Very friendly and nice staff who are always there to help you! The hostel is in a good location, quiet, safe and not too far from everything by foot. I keep extending my stay because I really enjoy staying here! It'd be even more wonderful if they clean the room daily or once in two days. But overall it's comfortable here. :)

Very sweet old fashion hotel. Simple clean rooms and the bed was comfy. I enjoyed the court yard full of plants and the tree had lovely birds that helped make waking up in the morning pleasant. Having access to a kitchen was very helpful- and the staff made morning coffee for us guests. Such an affordable and pleasant stay!

I stayed at Siete Cuatro Guest house from 6 May 2019 - 27 May 2019. In all of my searches and review readings I could not find a better accommodation with the same pricing and standard of quality. Jose (the owner) was not only professional and friendly with any queries I had, he went above and beyond when things went bad. When the electricity went out for a few hours and the aircons stopped he personally gave me his fan and went to the store to buy fans for all the other guests. When I came back from the beach with the worst sun burn of my life (I’m Australian trust me it was bad) he gave me his after-sun aloe because all the stores were closed at the time. The facilities were newly renovated, very clean and the staff was friendly. The only recommendation I have is to add some more substance to the breakfast options. Otherwise I have nothing to fault this accommodation for. Truly a diamond in the rough. Apologies for the late review!
