Comfortable and simple hostel. Nice room with everything necessary, could have had individual lights for each bed. Safe and quiet area up on the hill but very close to the rest of Menaggio. Good boat connections to Varenna and Bellagio and bus connections to the rest of Lake Como and Lugano!

The hostel is average. Breakfast was good. The double room with a bathroom has 4 beds and is spacious however the bathroom/ toilet is very very small. Overall enjoyed our stay however expected little more cleanliness. Staff is super helpful, they turned the radiant heater On upon request.

This property is in a very good location but is very outdated. The furniture in the room was super old. There was no heating so we were pretty cold at night. Our bathroom was extremely small, basically taking a shower while sitting on the toilet. Stuff though was extremely friendly and helpful, breakfast was simple but very nice. This place is within walking distance from everywhere !!! I might stay there again but definitely would take my own towels, blanket, pillow and warm pajamas.

The property in the Lake was great though we were misled into a property far from the lake where the staff manager on duty was VERY RUDE. The main property displayed 10:30am as checkout time. We checked out about 20 minutes late. The manager demanded 20Euros to be deducted from our credit card.

towel was dirty and a pillow on the bunkbed was blood stained. We had to use the pillow as my wife was coughing in the night and propped herself up. However when we told the manager, instead of being very apologetic, he began to berate my wife for having seen the pillow and trying to justify his reasons for leaving such an item in the room. He emphasised how it had been cleaned and he would have used a pillow case,. It began to feel like it was our fault for mentioning it.

Sehr freundliches, hilfsbereites Personal, Gute Lage zu Fuß zum See. Nur 5 Minuten ruhige Gegend. Unterkunft im Preis angemessen mit Gemeinschafts Waschraum, die okay waren. Frühstück okay Zimmer okay wer mehr erwartet muss auch mehr bezahlen. Insgesamt gerne wieder.

Es war ein schöner Aufenthalt. Wir waren auf der Durchreise und deshalb war das Hostel perfekt geeignet. Sehr tierfreundlich. Die Türen quitschten etwas. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und unkompliziert! Gerne wieder einmal!

Durchwachsen bis katastrophal

Das Servicepersonal ist freundlich, allerdings ist der Zustand sowohl der Zimmer als auch der sanitären Anlagen heruntergekommen und vernachlässigt. Die Betten sind schmutzig, die Bettwäsche hat Löcher.

Netter Empfang aber sehr einfache Unterkunft.

Das Haus, die Zimmer sind renovierungsbedürftig. Die Möbel sind ziemlich alt. Aber für eine Zwischenübernachting auf der Durchreise, ist es für uns ok.

Well worth the stay.

A great stay a bit uphill which gives you a sense of peace and quiet. Wonderful mountain and lake views from my room. Some small touches (such as hangers in the extremely small bathroom) could make this already wonderful place even more wonderful! A nice garden to relax or to take a drink in the evening.

Affordable and Covenient Location

Breakfast was simple (bread, jam, cereals, and cookie plus coffee) but enough of what we needed. Accommodations were sufficient and affordable. We had two twins pushed together in a bunk room with a private bath. Nothing fancy but we did get the entire bunk room to ourselves for a great price. Location is near the bus and ferry stop, which is the best part. Hostel has cheap beer and good pizza. Our room had views of the lake! Be prepared for many many stairs if you’re walking. If driving, you can drive right up to the building.
