「Very friendly and helpful family, delicious breakfast, very nice wooden roof in room. There is limited parking in the area so if you need parking space you would need to let them know in advance. From the room you have a great view over the city but it comes with climbing up and down the street! 」

「The hotel is lovely, quiet, with an amazing view, the family that run the hotel are lovely and very helpful. There is a small bar, pool, tables and sun beds outside. I had a large balcony with seating, plenty of room to do yoga outside. The only opportunities to improve would be the food menu, which needs more variety as when I visited it was only pizza and salads. Also selling large bottles of water to save rubbish. I would 100% recommend and return 」

「If you want to see a traditional Albanian home that is now a hotel this is the place to go to. The staff are wonderful! Beautiful outdoor area for relaxing or having a drink. It’s a truly magical place. I’m definitely coming back!!」

「Excellent location, only a few steps away from the heart of Girokaster but far enough not to hear all the noise/hustle and bustle. Room had an amazing view of the city. Breakfast was good, decent selection. Staff friendly and helpful, arranged taxi for us and driver picked us up from the hotel. Only place in all of our hotels in Albania that provided a kettle. 「We loved staying at Amalia’s house. Everything was spotless and cozy, and very peaceful and quiet. The courtyard is beautiful and it’s very easy to access the main areas of Gjirokastra with a quick walk up the hill. We’d love to come stay here again!」

「Claimed not to have our booking for two rooms for two nights - not sure if them or hotels.com. Offered us one room for the three of us - not ideal, I’m convinced they did have other spare rooms. The location is ok. It wasn’t particularly clean and the Wi-Fi only worked occasionally. Not impressed. 」
