"Stayed at the Ibis Old Town Prague because we've had good experiences with other Ibis properties. It's not a luxury hotel, but it provides the basics at a reasonable price and is very much a "you get what you pay for" stay. The positives: we were able to check in early, the staff were friendly and helpful, the location is excellent, and the price was very reasonable. Being next to the Palladium shopping center was a bonus for my teenager. The tram stop is right outside, and Old Town and many major sights are within walking distance. Our room had two twin beds and was small but well organized, with a wardrobe area, desk, and enough storage to make it functional. We heard very little noise from neighboring rooms, with most noise coming from guests in the hallway. The hotel could use some cosmetic maintenance. The bathroom door handle was loose, some baseboards showed wear, and the carpet looked stained or worn. None of these issues affected our stay, but they were noticeable. My biggest complaint was the shower. The hotel provides only two bath towels for two guests plus a bath mat, with no hand towels. The shower head is mounted on a fixed holder that appears to adjust only left and right, causing water to spray toward the door. Water escapes through the opening and side seal, leaving the bathroom floor wet after every shower. Overall, I would stay here again and recommend it to others. Just be aware that you'll be trading some comfort and room size for the lower cost."

"The property was in a quiet neighborhood that felt safe walking around as a tourist. We really enjoyed the large breakfast spread (shocking given our other experiences in Europe and totally worth the extra money). The air conditioning felt cold, it was not super hot during our stay so we didn’t truly test it but I think it would be good in the summer. The front desk and breakfast staff were really kind. The hotel is a 4 star review for 2 reasons: 1. Housekeeping did a great job cleaning the room but often took away our blankets and forgot to fill hand soap and replace toilet paper. 2. The shower head must be held in your hand to shower and there is not a huge glass barrier so it is easy to flood the bathroom. Basically the wand has a mount on the wall but it cannot be tilted downwards. The water pressure is so high that you are really stuck holding it. The glass only covers 1/4 of the shower and it leaks underneath the glass so it was hard to shower without flooding the bathroom. It was basically a two person job. Aside from those things our stay was very enjoyable and I would recommend for a hotel outside of the hustle!"
