The staff were exceedingly friendly, warm and helpful. It's a real shame though because that positive experience was overshadowed by the quality of the facilities in the room. For the price paid for a King Spa room, I expected there to be better facilities such as Digital TV or a better bed. The TV only gave access to the analog channels. The room manual said there was access to movies etc through one of the other TV sources but I couldn't find any. The mattress was mounted on a base with wheels which did not have a brake so the bed kept moving around. The sofa was in a state of disrepair, the left hand rest was torn and almost falling off. As well, all the windows in the room had a layer of dust on them and looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a long while. The room I was in faced the Nepean Hwy so there was constant noise of cars and motor vehicles throughout the day and night. I understand that this is not something that can be changed but for someone like me looking for a more quiet stay, I feel I should have be made aware that this was the case. I would have at least been able to request a different room even if the same size room was not available.
This is not to say that the other facilities were not great like the spa bath for example or the spaciousness of the room and the lovely buffet breakfast on offer everyday. And to mention again, the lovely, warm, friendly and accommodating nature of the staff.
If these other minor issues can be addressed, its def 5 star
