Everytime i go to in the back doors the key doesnt work. I then have to go to the front desk so they can program them again. One time it let me in the back door but not into my room. This last time i was left standing in the rain and not able to get in. I have stayed here several times. I stay for the convenience of its location. They allow dogs so it is great and if booked on Expedia you can get a better price than phoning the hotel. They have a free breakfast which is great. A variety of selections. It would be great if they had some fresh fruit. Overall i would and will be staying there again.

We were completely misled by the photos and description of this hotel. The Wyndham Garden Medicine Hat looks nothing like what’s advertised. The room smelled musty, the bathroom was so musky we had to leave the door open, and yellow stains from what appeared to be years of smoking covered the walls. It felt dirty and neglected. The hot tub was closed with no notice, and the pool was visibly dirty, we didn’t even feel safe getting in. To make matters worse, there were numerous transient individuals around the property, making us feel uncomfortable, especially at night. There was no visible security presence, and the overall environment felt unsafe. This was not just a poor stay, it was a complete misrepresentation. We trusted the Wyndham name and were shocked that they’d attach it to a place in this condition. This stay felt more like a rundown motel than a reputable hotel chain. We will never stay here again and strongly warn others: don’t get catfished like we did. Photos can lie. This hotel does not reflect what it claims to be. Wyndham should be ashamed.

I reserved a suite for 2 nights for my spouse who is in Medicine Hat for work. (To see how he liked it) All was good so he went to the front desk to extend his stay as he’s there approximately 3-4 weeks. They said they have limits on suite reservations and wouldn’t let him stay there. Unless I’m missing it, I didn’t see anything the website or previous reservation stating this. He asked why this is the place was dead…. The response he got was it’s the manager’s policy & something regarding cleaning! Anyhow it’s their loss.

Doesn’t look as nice as the pictures. Room was dirty and there was a pill on the floor (that was concerning). Room looks run down and tub didn’t look clean / has dirt on edges. Flush button on the toilet the plastic handle is broken. Sheets and towels look clean though. Check in girl was nice and pleasant to deal with.

I always wait in line for check-in when I come here. Lack of front desk people, one person dealing with the phone and check-ins. Not the workers fault. Breakfast closes at 9am (basically telling you they dont want to feed you), lobby coffee has no lids (basically telling you not to take coffee). Bathroom toliet was running, I had to fix it everytime i used the toilet, sink faucet had a leak. Fridge was warm... leaves a lot to be desired. Stayed here a handful of times and won't be back again. Front desk girl who checked me in at 630pm was also at the desk at 8am. Which worries me a bit.

Overpaid for a room that was mediocre. All doors slammed shut, room was hot when arrived (11pm), no plugs near bed, and the bed was really soft. Breakfast was until 9 and not bad, decent variety. Parking in the back is on a very sloped lot.

I like that i can bring my dog. I was also allowed to pick up my keys ahead of time. I wasnt going to be back in the area until late and need to make sure i got a room on the first floor and by the door. The down was that my side of the bed had a dip in it. I just switched with my husband. Lol also the room smelled like someone had smoked in it. I think it was a dirty AC unit filter
