We were completely misled by the photos and description of this hotel. The Wyndham Garden Medicine Hat looks nothing like what’s advertised. The room smelled musty, the bathroom was so musky we had to leave the door open, and yellow stains from what appeared to be years of smoking covered the walls. It felt dirty and neglected.
The hot tub was closed with no notice, and the pool was visibly dirty, we didn’t even feel safe getting in. To make matters worse, there were numerous transient individuals around the property, making us feel uncomfortable, especially at night. There was no visible security presence, and the overall environment felt unsafe.
This was not just a poor stay, it was a complete misrepresentation. We trusted the Wyndham name and were shocked that they’d attach it to a place in this condition. This stay felt more like a rundown motel than a reputable hotel chain.
We will never stay here again and strongly warn others: don’t get catfished like we did. Photos can lie. This hotel does not reflect what it claims to be. Wyndham should be ashamed.
