My wife and I stayed at Casa Lulu in the Sunset suite. The whole property was very clean, well maintained, the pool sparkling, the common areas welcoming and comfortable. The staff were very attentive whenever asked. Our knowing only English was not difficult for them at all. The served breakfasts were a nice start to our day. Thank you so much for making our first Mazatlán visit special. We will not hesitate to rebook into Casa Lulu when we next visit.

Great hotel on a perfect location to have easy access to the malecón for a good morning walking workout. Unobtrusive service , cool vibe , well appointed dwellings with a realxing whitewash design. It just works. I did not have the time to try the pool but it looked just fine , a great place to watch the sunset which is never the same. I would definitely go back to this quaint establishment on my next trip down to Mazatlán.

This location lives up to the photos. It is beautiful and the aesthetics were what I had hoped it would be. The staff was kind and eager to help. We communicated with the hotel before, during & after our stay via WhatsApp, where they were quick to reply. We felt safe and well taken care of. However, our stay had some minor issues, perhaps because it was off-season. The breakfast or coffee wasn't quite ready. The staff offered to prepare it, but we declined. Paying was not an easy process, though we finally figured it out. The street at night was very loud, but the ocean in the morning was lovely. We felt safe in the location, though getting into town was a little bit of a trek. When we didn't feel like walking/sweating, we'd call a very inexpensive Uber. All said, we enjoyed our time at Casa Lulu. It felt nearly luxurious, though there are still some kinks to work out. I'm not sure we would stay there again unless there were some improvements or the price decreased. I would recommend it to the right audience. Many thanks to the staff who were lovely!

Second time we stay at Casa Lulu and always a great experience. Staff is friendly, rooms are clean, and very attentive. If you want to enjoy Mazatlan and be in the quiet side of it. Casa Lulu is definitely the place to stay for your trip.

Customer service is horrible, the towels were all spots and old . Been inside it was worse than been outside in the heat . They check your room in case you still 😂😂. Overall I will not recommend this hotel .

I stay at casa lulu everytime I come to Mazatlan. The hotel has an amazing design, people are very nice and friendly, the pool and views are great! There aren’t really any other places in Mazatlan that have this vibe. It’s become one of my favorite hidden gems in Mazatlan. 10/10

Casa Boutique Lulu was a beautiful property lovely spacious room, extra comfortable bed and very well run hotel! I loved my stay there. It was centrally located to great restaurants and coffee shops. The staff was so helpful and friendly. The hotel was on the Malecon providing a beautiful view of the ocean and sunsets. Being an American the only negative was the noise. I did not realize the Malecon was very loud at night….other than that it was a perfect stay.

The design is the only thing going for this hotel
My husband and I were away to celebrate our 10 year anniversary. We stayed at LuLu for 4 nights during our time in Mazatlan. In short the property is extremely disappointing. From the moment we checked in, we didn’t feel taken care of or welcomed at all. The staff they have working there clearly have no experience working in hospitality and it’s extremely clear. On every interaction they were forgetful, unapologetic when clearly an apology or explanation was needed, and oblivious to the fact that guests were at the hotel. Starting at check in, they completely skipped over sharing how to enter and exit the property. A door code is required after hours, this wasn’t even shared when we checked in. We had to ask more than once what the door code was. Seemed strange to not provide this to guests when it’s obvious you need to go off site for dinner. The wifi code was only shared after asking a few times. The staff needed to be asked several times to complete basic requests. Our first morning we arrived downstairs for breakfast. Some drops off coffee were left and some orange juice and a single serving of fruit with yogurt. With covid occurring it was a little concerning seeing food left sitting without a lid. We messaged them through their preferred method of communication, WhatsApp. No reply. We then went up stairs and found the staff member playing on a computer and clearly ignoring their work phone. Don’t expect your room to be properly cleaned.. pool was frozen. Times up!

Clean but not my first choice next time
It is farther from airport so plan a head, pool was excellent! room very small, no balcony or window to look out, which meant I had to use A/C. Not a good way to control temp in room. NO coffee/tea ion room, no red wine allowed, restaurants 51-20 min walk, breakfast in a.m. was toast with an egg something on top, Was hoping for Mexican dishes For the price i saw several other hotels that were similar less money when I checked.

Enjoyed our two night stay at Casa Lulu. Beautiful property, nice views and a very good breakfast. Located a short walk from the Plaza Machado. A bit loud when other guests were around, but otherwise very relaxing. Would stay here again!

Mid Century Boutique Dream
This property is absolutely stunning inside and out and no detail has been overlooked. The common spaces, the rooms, the balconies and the pool area are all part of a mid-century modern dream. The south-western flair reminds you that you're on vacation in warmer weather, a fact you won't soon forget as the staff pampers and caters to you without hesitation. The experience at Casa Lulu was truly luxurious and one of the best we've had in Mexico. The included breakfast was fresh and delicious each day and made for us at what ever time we decided to start our morning. Our mini bar was always stocked and a complimentary pitcher of water was always left in the room. Anything we needed was only a request away; from a poolside beer to a taxi ride or restaurant recommendation. The staff was so lovely and every inch of the property was clean and pristine. The linens - towels and sheets- were super soft and fluffy and a dream to relax in at the end of the day. The hotel is perfectly located - you can walk along the Malecon any time of day and are only a 10 minute stroll from the Centro Historico where many of Mazatlan's best restaurants can be found. You'll have a beautiful view of the Pacific Ocean from many vantage points at Casa Lulu and will enjoy many evenings unwinding on the balcony enjoying a cold beverage and watching the unforgettable sunsets. Can't say enough about how stunning this hotel is, you will feel like a 1950s movie star staying here.

Casa Lulu is an excellent boutique hotel and provides all possible comforts and beautiful environment. The hotel does have the disadvantage to be located very close to the malecón and it's impossible to avoid the loud music from the "pulmonias" moving up and down

A very nice place, it has 9 rooms so the place is very exclusive. An excellent sea view to watch the sunset. The pool area is very nice. The staff is always available to help you with any special need. It does not have direct access to the beach.

I really wanted to like this place but TV service was NOT available for most of my stay of one week. I do not enjoy staring at the Ceiling after a long day of exploring the city. I never received a explanation or apology and nobody really seemed to think this was a problem. at check out day i was told "they're coming to fix it next week!" Thanks! I was then asked to pay for the 1 beer and bottle of water i took from the room fridge. SERIOUSLY? i recommend to avoid this poorly managed hotel.

From the outside it doesn't look like a Hotel, actually even on the inside. It's more like a rich relative's house, it's absolutely beautiful and luxurious!! I absolutely loved the whole experience there, from check in to check out. The lobby was exceptionally quiet, as was the whole hotel which is not normal but was a welcomed change. The room was very clean, and very welcoming and very comfortable. The whole decor was very modern but at the same time very... fitting to the seaside location of the Hotel. The bed was just out of this world, it was the most comfortable bed I have slept on in a very long time to include the pillows! The pool and lounge area was absolutely unbelievable!! There are hammocks to relax on and enjoy the lazy afternoons on, while enjoying the view of the whole Mazatlan coast and seaside which is exactly what I did!! I then enjoyed the very cool and relaxing pool that was just amazing... The whole experience was just wonderful and I will very likely be staying there on my next visit to Mazatlan.

SERENE MODERN RELAXING
5 STAR QUALITY, NEW ,beautiful, clean, peaceful, serene atmosphere. 5 minute walk to south Malecon restaurant's and beach. Beautiful view of ocean and entire bay/Malecon. Standard room was excellent value for the money, but then we upgraded to the balcony. Very worth the extra little money for the view and private balcony. Excellent breakfast, beautiful clean swimming pool and chaise area, lovely decor and sitting areas for reading. We felt complete spoiled and rested. THANKS to our host Maria, and to Siji. Highly recommended!!!!

Un lugar bonito y cómodo.
El lugar es realmente muy tranquilo, tiene una vibra bastante hogareña y el servicio al huésped se siente personalizado. Su ubicación es muy buena, a unos pasos del malecón, pero con la comodidad de poder dormir sin el ruido que suele presentarse en las calles, las personas encargadas son amables y siempre al pendiente de lo que necesitas, el desayuno es muy rico, más el plus de que el lugar es bastante bonito y la vista muy bonita desde el lobby o tu habitación.

CHECK-IN PROCESS: Check-in time is 3:00 p.m., and although the hotel was not busy (only one other couple arrived after me), we did not get to our room until 3:20 p.m. and then only to find the room floor had not been adequately cleaned and was sticky from something foreign on the surface. A staff member rewashed the floor while we waited outside the room for it to dry. We finally checked into our room at 4:00 p.m. COURTESY COMPENSATION: None was forthcoming, so we asked for it. The manager provided us with two courtesy margaritas while we waited for our room and late checkout the next day. PRIVACY: The layout of the hotel is “L-shaped,” with the lengthwise part of the “L” facing northward; it’s a common area with tables and chairs inside and outside on the patio area. The base of the “L” faces west to the ocean, and the rooms are on that side, with the pool area directly below. Our room was in the corner of the “L,” so we could not open our blinds. BATHROOMS: Tiny. Not a spa experience. A significant issue with the shower was water pouring out from under the shower door and onto the bathroom floor, and this required using the shower mat and towels to stop the flow. Now, where to put the wet materials? TOWELS: When we asked for clean towels in the morning, a staff member told us there were none (something about them being in the laundry). This little hotel has a long way to go before anybody should consider it as an good option. First morning, we woke up without running water, I had to carry some from the pool for the bathroom. The service is lacking, it takes a long time to get drinks, and the same happened for breakfast, which was forgettable. The room was nice and comfortable and it is located near downtown and Plaza Machado. For me, a boutique hotel means that the whole experience will be memorable, the installations, the food & drinks and, specially, the service. And my issues are also on other reviews, so I hope the hotel's people read them and do something about them.
