Perfect holiday with wonderful hosts!

Amazing, gorgeous home with warm and welcoming hosts who came to feel like family. Delicious breakfasts, gorgeous salt water pool, views, chickens and sheep on property—a perfect stay. Wish all b&bs were as delightful!!!

Truely the best place in New Zealand

There is a reason why this is the best B&B in New Zealand. John and Nancy run a great place. They are lovely people and do the most to ensure you have a great experience. The Pillars Retreat is a beautiful property. The environment is very relaxing and soothing. The wind chime by the garden sends out a sense of calm and relaxation. The breakfast that John and Nancy serve is awesome. They know the Lake Taupo area very well and can provide assistance in choosing activities, restaurants, shopping and bookings for the same. The condition of the rooms are execellent. It is a quiet , peaceful environment. Just what we needed for a break during our very active traveling vacation. I highly recommend staying here.
