Shenvalee Golf Resort

"This golf resort is a genuine piece of disappearing Americana. If you were born in the mid-century, or even the 80s The Shenvalee will fill your nostalgic longings. The rooms are mostly motel-style where you drive up and park in front. You can choose Mountain (golf course) or Pool view. Disclaimer: I am not a golfer but have family and friends who golf. I drove by here once while traveling and decided to check it out. The grounds are beautiful, the rooms are basic but clean, and the large pool is centrally located. The hotel staff was helpful. The Miller Grill has good food. The town of New Market has several restaurants and a quaint General Store. The town of Timberville is nearby if you need grocery or pharmacy. I imagine this area is even more lovely in the Fall when the foliage is at peak."

"5 night stay. Comphy bed and well stocked with pillows, towels and essentials. Quiet lovely surrounding grounds. Easy check in and departure. Close to route 11 for the yard crawl and things to do!"
