Don’t let the construction fool you, the rooms are excellent! They are renovating and the hallways are a bit of an eye sore but once you arrive at your room you’ll be pleasantly surprised. Nicely renovated rooms including bathroom. New, clean and comfortable so if you’re looking for a nice room at a reasonable rate this is a go to for sure.

The room and breakfast were excellent, possibly better than your average mid-range chain hotel. I was unsure given the state of the hallway (quite dirty due to off-season renovations in progress), but was pleasantly surprised on both counts. I'd have to be in a bad mood to find anything the complain about. I liked this hotel better than ones I have stayed at in Thunder Bay on other trips. There are two good restaurants within a two-minute walk, plus the A&W across the street. I enjoyed walking on the rocks near the boat launch...gorgeous!

Wow.. Buckle up! Gentleman doing check-in was great, zero complaint. The place is being Reno's, unfortunately we got a pre-reno room.. I'm good with that, I don't need much. Room was old with stained carpet.. Even that didn't really bother me that much - it's a pet friendly room. What got me though was the bed REEKED of cheap cologne or Axe or something. Without a doubt the worst choking stink I've had to put up with. The best part of the night was waking up before the alarm and packing up since sleep wasn't to be. Check out was very smooth and the woman at the desk was super friendly as well. Zero complaints.

Request a pet room and was given an older un renovated room, which was really quite horrible. The beds were quite comfortable, but very dated and poor shape for the price that was you had to pay.

They are under construction so the cleanliness is as good as they can have it right now. They dont have mattress protectors on the bed. But other then that its a typical motel. The staff is friendly and helpful

The staff members are friendly. The bathroom is in need of immediate renovation. There is a significant amount of rust when the water is turned on, and the shower fixtures appear quite old.

Was only a quick overnight travelling through situation. Room was okay, but was also $100 bucks so cant expect 5star rooms. Id say a bit above average for the price. Would stay again if nreded along our trip

Front desk guy was helpful and friendly. Room was meh, but get what you pay for. Bed was comfy though. The breakfast.. served in a SUPER COLD “restaurant area” even the lady running the breakfast had her winter jacket on. The only think I ate was the waffles as the eggs I spit back into my napkin and didn’t wager on the rest of the stuff so stuck with pancake mix and the waffle iron. I see they are trying but maybe just put fruit bowl out front and a coffee bar as “breakfast included” for now.

The location of the hotel is convenient but the cleanliness of the rooms is questionable. There was toothpaste build up on the faucet, dirty floors, mold in the bathtub, ripped up carpet, missing trim on the walls, and the entire room smelled of strong perfume (not air freshener or anything but actual perfume?). It was also difficult to sleep because it was cold and the heater was needed in the room but it was so loud and sounded on the verge of breaking that it almost seemed worth it to turn it off and freeze just so I could sleep. They also make you wait at the front desk when you are checking out to check your room? I thought it was an odd practice because I have never experienced that before ?
