"Stepping onto the grounds of Glenkilrie House is like stepping into an oil painting by John Constable. It’s the kind of place that makes you wish you hadn’t made any other plans, but could simply unwind and recharge in this serene and restorative setting. We honestly can’t think of anything that could be improved. From Morag’s warm hospitality to the large, comfortable rooms, the peaceful surroundings, and the best Scottish breakfast anywhere, everything was perfect. We even began to wonder if Morag has some influence over the weather—we had clear blue skies throughout our stay. Next time, we’re staying longer!"

"Lovely Scottish hotel, clean well equipped bedrooms. Public areas well maintained and on site Italian restaurant very good. Disappointing no gym access as renovating but did use the pool areas in Highland hotel across the road. Dated facilities, changing rooms not great. But as a family pool area does what needed. Great base for exploring Aviemore. Well done attentive helpful staff!"

"A great location to explore all the adventures the Cairngorms has to offer! Very friendly staff who greeted you with kindness. The breakfast offering was great especially as I am gluten free. My room was well equipped and the bed was super comfy. Being on the side of the road my room rattled a little when a big vehicle passed but not a huge issue! A lovely stay and would look to book this again!"

"The hotel is beautiful and the amenities such as the pool, workout room, etc. are excellent. We enjoyed a lovely dinner in the finer dining restaurant. The service was great at check in, check out and the restaurant. Our room was extremely spacious and very nice. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom spacious and the sitting area very nice. The big negative is there is no air conditioning. I guess I should have assumed this since the building is so old but we have stayed at older places that have been renovated and there is air conditioning. The hallways and common places in the hotel are so comfortable and it feels as though there is air conditioning there but not in the rooms."
