「Terrible the first night we were given a hut which was very poorly equipped. Avoid Purple Rain which was aptly named as the combined tiny room with toilet and shower wash basin not compartmentalised was leaking water which flowed into the other room a bedroom. 「Apart from it been a good hotel what stood out for me was the friendliest and welcoming staff from the management to the cleaners they were absolutely brilliant, Jacinta,Hilda,Mekane,Christine,Rose, Yvonne and Alphonse the security guy all amazing,thank you all I'll will miss your warm friendship, the Mavvel is a excellent hotel be it for business or a tourist like me i really do highly recommend a stay here, oh and great breakfast, restaurant and bar and hope to visit again when in Embu, thanks...

「The hotel doesn't look like the picture, there's no front desk but if you want the price then take your chance. We actually tried to cancel upon arrival and went elsewhere. A very small hotel located off the main road and if you drive too fast you might miss it. Very disappointed」
